This steakhouse reminds me of the way steakhouses use to be in the 60's. Steaks were good and cooked as ordered. And the portions were large. (The four guys in our party did not go away hungry.) Decor is a little dated but we’ll take it over the homogenized decor of modern restaurants. The service was EXCELLENT!. The waitress (Forgive... More

Cattlemen's is the most authentic, older steak house in Fort Worth. It predates all of the latecomers like Del Frisco's and Ruth's Chris. It also serves dishes like Rocky Mountain oysters (ask someone from the west to tell you what they are if you don't know) that were part of the old west's menu for full use of cattle as... More

One steak for two, medium rare, crusted with pepper corn, no sauce, just the meat. Best steak we ever had. Go for it!

Family of 6 visited for dinner and we all enjoyed our dinners. We made reservations for 7 but still didn't get seated until 7:30. But other walkins had to wait up to 90 minutes. So make sure to make reservations. All steaks ordered were VERY good. I had the chicken fried steak with gravy....it was average, I would order it... More

Compared to other steak house options out there it's an average place. Overrated. Had the advantage of being in Stockyards. Food is ok. Service is ok. Nothing to wow about.

In short, I originally was supposed to be at Hoffbrau steaks in Ft.Worth but Hoffbrau ruined our reservations (see my review on that). The Cattlemen's restaurant graciously allowed my party of 18 people, last min., to come in at 6:30pm even though they were booked solid. This was my parent's 50th wedding anniversary that Hoffbrau's almost ruined. Cattlemen's saved the... More

No wait so we decided to dine here for lunch. We ordered New York strip and it was good. Rolls were hot. The decor inside the restaurant is interesting. We got a free coupon online for dessert so make sure google it.

We were invited along with some friends from Texas, and told the food was amazing. Being the cynic that I am I thought I'd wait until I had tried for myself. I ordered the Rose of Texas fillet, medium rare, with Horseradish mash. All I can say is our friends were not wrong. The steak melted in the mouth, very... More

We were at the Stockyards and a local suggested we go here for dinner. My wife and I got the ribs and my granddaughters got the chicken. The chicken was very good and the ribs were OK. We've had better. The wait staff were very friendly and were attentive to our needs. The restaurant was pleasant but a little noisy.... More

This is a great steakhouse. It is a little pricey, but worth it. When you walk in, the décor is like from the 60's and 70's. The staff was friendly and helpful.
