We’ll it did not get off to a good start. A reservation is just that. I arrive when we agree and not wait another 30 minutes v while you try to figure out where I’m supposed to sit and eat. Just because you have a...bar doesn’t mean I want to sit there. It was a further star reduction when your hostess has to go ask our name then walk us to a table and say oops we apologize. Wow is this the key stone cops running this ship. Don’t waste your time with the oyster flight. Go straight for the Dutch islands. The other selections were petite and anemic in flavor. Fat Dogs were a close second. I like to have a cracker afterwards to clear my tastebuds and your saltines were beyond stale. We ordered the scallops and the halibut and then split them so we could each try. But they were cold on delivery to the table. Our lobster Mac and cheese we asked to take home so maybe it could be heated and served warm. The bread was hot but it came after we were almost done eating. The old fashioned drinks were great so that’s was a win.More

This was a (heavy) Happy Hour visit before our show at Bass Hall. We had never eaten here before but was intrigued by the oyster offerings and the proximity to the venue. We went for HH and all that was available was a long community...table. We weren't real excited about that but it ended up working out fine. Our server was amazing! He was personable yet witty and every recommendation he gave was spot on! We started with the cheddar & roasted corn hush puppies that beyond exceeded your average hush puppies. Then moved on to the wagyu beef burger and Oysters Sundance. I had never experienced anything like the oysters, it was not only the taste but the smell. WOWZERS! The butter and lemon combo was divine! We can not wait to visit again and work our way through the menu. But lets me honest, it will be hard to not get the oysters again! Oh and I almost forgot....DESSERT! The creamiest delight with a touch of the crusty top in each bite.More

Sensational experience. My wife and I celebrated our 25th Anniversary and when we sat down, the Host presented us with a signed card by the staff. We ordered some mock tails and they were tasty. The food was outstanding, we shared the crab cake appetizer...and the fried goat cheese salad and they were superb. The crab cake was fresh and crabmeat was plump served over an aioli and fresh greens. For entrees my wife had the scallops and she raves about them, I had the sea bass topped with a Cajun crumbled sausage and crawfish. It was cooked to perfection. Great service, attention to detail and our needs. Our server brought us some chocolate and coconut truffles to finish our celebration and they literally melted in our mouths. We plan to go back soon and during their happy hour and try an assortment of their raw oysters.More

Samantha was our server and she was excellent! Lots of attention to detail, plus she was so fun to chat with! She suggested we could split our order and it came out perfectly. The Char was wonderful and the Shrimp were large. We ordered the...lemon cheesecake for dessert and it was delicious, plus they brough 3 handmade truffles on a plate with a candle for my wife's birthday, along with a birthday card signed by the employees! Service was excellent and food was excellent. We'll definitely be returning! It was a wonderful, memorable experience!More

We had tickets to Bass Hall and our friends suggested dinner beforehand. Waters is close by so we got reservations (though not necessary this early on a Thursday). Yes, Waters is fine dining and the prices are commensurate. But, at least in this case, you...do get what you pay for. Our waitress, Elaine, provided the best dining service I can remember having in a long time. She was pleasant, helpful, attentive (without overdoing it) and just seemed to know what we would need and when we needed it. This is obviously not her first rodeo and it showed. The food was universally excellent. My wife (and a couple of the others in our party) had the crab cakes. Though not lump crab, there was definitely a preponderance of crab with little filler and they were cooked perfectly. The bite my wife shared with me actually tasted like crab (not always the case at other places, unfortunately) and were cooked perfectly. I had the calamari and the Caesar salad. The calamari was extremely tender and lightly breaded. So often, calamari is rubbery or had too thick a coating. Not this. Hard to find calamari this well prepared. The Caesar salad was a bit unconventional which is actually why I wanted to try it. The Lemon-Poached Oyster dressing was different but still good. I really couldn't detect anything oyster-ish about it but it was tasty. The cornbread crouton crumbles weren't bad; just not my thing. The lettuce was cold and crisp. We also shared an order of a cornbread fritter. Everyone commented on how light they were. No thick dense "hushpuppies" here. Very tasty and served with a whipped butter. There were also some fried slices of jalapeno. I don't mind heat but these had been tamed so you could taste the jalapeno flavor without the burn. One person in our group had a Filet Mignon and it looked delicious. Cooked exactly as he requested and with a truffle butter. A couple of folks had coffer after dinner but there was no time (or room) for dessert. We had a wonderful time and nothing I can think of that could have been any better. Would definitely return for a special occasion or the next time we go to the Bass!More

I booked my Valentine's reservations 3 weeks prior to Valentines for their patio. I could have chosen OTHER restaurants that had open INDOOR seating but we are patio people. Our 1st date was on a patio....we frequent many patios all over DFW we love Reata...their amazing rooftop patio... Haywire Roof top Patio is a blast for dining and drink, Vidorra's patio is also incredible place we love, and I have a list of many other places . I say this because WATERS restaurant ripped me apart trying to tell me the only reason I chose the patio was because that was all they had open....NO THAT IS NOT THE CASE we are patio people. This restaurant calls me A WEEK prior to my reservation and cancels my reservation saying weather is going to be an issue....but if I wanted to try to fight for one of the tables tops that they were going to do open dining for anyone to walk in for, I can try to do that but I would not have a reservation. At this point I not only lost my reservation for the busiest day of the year with them but finding any reservation at a high end restaurant 1 week out was not an option unless I wanted to eat at 9pm or 4pm. So for me to say they ruined our Valentines dinner is 100% Fact. I called and did not find a place for us to go...AND THE WEATHER that day became 70s and SUNNY by 5pm and nicer as the night went on. I am a 5th generation Texan, I know all about our Texas weather...They wrote a horrible response to my complaint on Google not knowing all the facts why I picked them...and tried to say my Well Planned Valentines was not that but apparently It was my ditch attempt to get into their place by using their patio. Now that it pettiness. Yes they way they treated me deserves a 1 star review. NEEDLESS TO SAY I WILL NEVER DINE HERE....AND I WILL CONTINUE TO TO WARN ALL MY FRIENDS/FAMILY/CLIENTS and YOU about this place. There are tons of wonderful places to go...and this is not one of them.More

Service was wonderful and should be noted first. I really wanted to like this restaurant, but I can’t say that I will be back. Food was just ok. It wasn’t bad however it was not memorable and was very expensive. Calamari was good as was...tartar of tuna. Gumbo was nothing but okra and lacked flavor. The mains were fresh but uninspiring. Unfortunately we have had better seafood at half the price in the area and won’t be back.More

The food is fresh, the service is average, the prices are New York style (or LA pick your choice). Food presentation is not at par with the cost. Some dishes are overpowered by the sauces they are accompanied by. If you are on the expense...account, give it a try.More

We had heard great things about this place. Table for 4 (2 x married couples). ATROCIOUS! From the starters, through to the COMP'D deserts. Starters shared between all...Jumbo Shrimp...overcooked and ZERO seasoning. Texasfella oysters, mealy coating with no flavour, oysters TINY and cooked ok, again...ZERO seasoning. Hush puppies, gummy and surprise...no seasoning. Calamari...SMALLEST serving I have EVER had...between 4...A JOKE! Actually these were the best of all the appetizers. Mains 3 x fish and chips (1 x Redfish ($32), 2 x Halibut ($48) ). We mens both had the Halibut, we both expected the GREATEST FISH AND CHIPS EVER MADE FOR ALMOST $50. Must now point out I am English, so, I know my F&Cs! BLOODY AWFUL! The tempora batter was just flour coating the fish (which was overcooked and dry), ABSOLUTELY NO CRUNCH whatsoever! At this point we complained and they comp'd desert...which were mediocre to say the least. We paid over $400 (inc drinks and tips/tax) for an utterly HORRENDOUS meal...WE WON'T BE RETURNING. BTW...we were there at 5pm 9/25/2021 so not even busy!More

Our friends had recommended Waters. We were not disappointed in anyway. Our server, Val, was pleasant, accommodating, knowledgeable and very helpful. The “Dirty Dozen” of fresh, chilled oysters on the half shell were excellent. The Red Fish, Crab Cakes, Swordfish (special) all were outstanding. As...were the gumbo and fresh grilled asparagus. We would highly recommend Waters. I was raised on the East-end of Long Island and really appreciate fresh, well prepared seafood.More
