Excellent - loved the Tacos, Beans, Salsa, Chips. Grilled Corn tortillas. All fresh and tasty. This is an award winning local business ... and they even have a rewards program ($5 off next meal after you’ve spent $60). Adonna, our server, was super friendly and provided great service. Will be back!

Delicious Food!

Sometimes when you dine out there is one item that you can rave about. Well not here, everything was fantastic! Food is made fresh daily. We got chips/salsa and side of guacamole along with small tacos with beans and rice. Guacamole was so creamy and delicious! I’m not a huge fan of refrained beans but they were amazing too! Highly recommend this place! You can bring your own beer too.

When my wife and I stopped there for lunch the place was almost full and it seemed most everyone knew the waitress and owner....so mostly locals Mi Casita is not a big place or a fancy place but it's a great place to eat. The diningroom is surrounded with various food and service awards going back for years. Based on our experience these awards were earned not just given

Fort Stockton Gem

This little gem definitely lived up to its #1 restaurant rating. Although we arrived at 1:40pm (lunch service closes at 2), we were greeted warmly and never rushed. Our chips and fresh salsa and taco salads were delicious, and the complimentary little rainbow sherbets were icing on the proverbial cake. Highly recommend!

We had expectations of something good based on previous reviews. We were very disappointed. The guacamole looked and tasted like it came out of a tube, certainly didn’t seem homemade. The chicken in the chicken fajitas was dry and flavorless. The queso on top of the border burrito looked like melted velveeta cheese. We wish we would have gone to somewhere else. If this is what Texas Mexican food is going to taste like, we aren’t looking forward to our next week in Texas. The salsa and chips were good, glad we filled up on that.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review. We are so very sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience with us. I can assure you that our guacamole does not come out of a tube and we make it fresh every day, unfortunately the avacados these days are hit or miss but I’m glad you were able to enjoy the chips and salsa. I hope if you are ever passing through again you would give us another try to live up to our wonderful reviews. Safe Travels!

Excellent Customer Service!

When my mom and I are returning to Arizona from Texas, we always stop here for lunch (usually once a year). The last time we had stopped, I noticed my favorite dish - The Spicy Chili Verde - was not on the menu. No worries said the waitress, next time you pass through, just give us a couple days notice and we'll have it ready for you! On our most recent trip, i went to their website and dropped Adonna an email which was promptly replied to asking that I give her a ring. I did that and on the day we left San Antonio, she called me back to confirm I would be there that day. Sure enough, my spicy chili verde was there when we arrived and it was Great!! This is extraordinary customer service for a person they only see once a year. Wonderful people and good food. Check them out!

Good but Spicy Food

Food was tasty by watch out for the green salsa, as well as the salsa they serve with chips at the table. Pretty spicy (and I like spicy foods). The cheese enchiladas were pretty bland but they have a nice menu - may have just been the day I visited.

such smooth verde sauce

We stopped here on a recent road trip, glad we did. The food was incredible. I had enchiladas with a green verde sauce and it was so good, the sauce so smooth. My husband has a burrito that he very much enjoyed. The service was fast and friendly.

GREAT food stopping by after Marfa, Big Bend

We were happy to find this friendly tasty restaurant on our way out of Big Bend. Food was delicious, service was very good. We ate outdoors at one of the new shaded tables they've provided during this COVID time. And thank you for the bakery-fresh sugar cookies!

Don't miss Mi Casita if you are in the area!

We had occasion to spend the night in Fort Stockton on a four week road trip along the Gulf of Mexico and then up to Guadeloupe National Park. We chose Mi Casita due to the great reviews on Trip Advisor. The choice was perfect. The founder/owner/chef/waitress/dish washer all rolled up into one was a delight and our meal was well beyond our expectations. She is currently only open 3 1/2 days a week and my advise is to plan any trips through Fort Stockton on one of those days. I had the Chile Rellenos, a recipe from her grandfather, and they were the best I have ever had. Five plus stars.

Excellent, actually! A very authentic Mexican restaurant, nice and bright and nicely decorated. We arrived a bit early, so we were quickly seated. Our server, and also the only server, was quick and efficient with a nice smile and friendly manner. They have a quite varied menu, so lots of options. I had the fajita plate, mixed chicken and beef. Meats were tender and flavourful, tortillas hot and fresh. She had the quesadilla, which was also very good. The complimentary little taste of frozen sherbet at the end was a nice touch to finish off the meal.

An unexpected and pleasant surprise!

While caught in a Texas ice storm we found ourselves spending two days in Fort Stockton. We stopped by for dinner at Mi Casita. The establishment is small with maybe 10 tables. We waited in the lobby about 5 minutes after being greeted by the sole server. She soon ushered us to our table, took our drink order and provided chips and salsa. The chips appeared to be hand made and the salsa was absolutely amazing!. We both ordered burritos, with mine ordered wet. Both were filled to the brim with meat, fresh chopped peppers, onions, sour cream and guacamole.. An excellent choice for fresh and tasty Mexican food!

Wife and I went there for dinner on a weeknight. No wait. The chile Releno was good. I had the Adonna special. Taco was half soggy and half empty. Enchilada was mostly cheese and tortilla. Rice and beans tasted like the oil was old. Salsa was good.No alcohol on menu but they do tell you in advance and it is byob. I’d probably try a different restaurant next time.

Amazing

Amazing really does not accurately describe our experience. We are staying at the Fort Stockton RV Park for a couple of days and chose Mi Casita based on its reviews. We were not disappointed. Service is friendly and efficient, prices reasonable, portions just perfect and the meal was outstanding!!!! We especially enjoyed the salsa, a bit of a bite without being overwhelming. We usually pass through Fort Stockton twice a year and will definitely be stopping at Mi Casita again. Thank you for a great experience !!

Great food. (excellent) chips and salsa are complementary. Also a little sweet surprise at the end l (very small scoop of sherbet) was complementary. The taco salad was very good, crispy shell. Fast and friendly service.
