This place is small but the food is very good. They offer burgers and seafood and all the Texas favorites. Their fried fish is delicious. The place is not very well lit but it is comfortable. They have an adjoining bar that appears to offer...most any kind of drinks. The prices are reasonable. It was a good stopMore

We stopped for lunch on a busy Saturday afternoon. We ordered the fish and chips and the Baja tacos. We watched as one group and then another group and then two more groups came in and ordered. Then we watched as each group ate and...paid and left. When we asked about our order, they told us they were working on it. Finally, after over 40 minutes, yet a different waitress brought our food. She apologized and said the food was on the house. The cod was excellent- hot and crisp. It was delicious.More

Restaurant was clean. Service was great. Food was out fairly quick as we had a pretty good group of guys. Everyone was completely satisfied. I had chicken fried steak, and it was large and excellent! Nothing else needs to be said. Great choice to stop...here!More

Stopped by for lunch on a really cold day. Building is old and has lots of character but on this cold day, was pretty drafty and chilly. Good service. Lunch menu is limited to a couple of specials and about five or so burgers and...I think a salad...can't remember. We ordered the gouda burger, which was really tasty, tender and thick beef patty. The menu said the burger came with homemade potato chips but ours came with hand-cut fries. This would have been okay but the fries were limp instead of crisp. Cold beer. Would probably give it another go if in the area.More

This was recommended by a local resident and Joe's food did not disappoint. Wait staff was fast and friendly. The burgers are huge - 1/2 pound of pure beef! The chips are thinly sliced potatoes fried fresh to order. Will definitely visit again on our...way to or from Austin.More

My friends and I have eaten here several times over the last few years. The menu is diverse, the food is delicious, and our wait staff is always attentive and courteous.

This is a favorite spot for us to meet folks in between Austin and Houston, and the food is worth the drive in either direction. All the staples you would expect of a Texas roadhouse, but done well and served with warmth and personality. Haven't...had a clunker meal yet, but the chicken-fried ribeye is the star. You might as well give yourself a good story to tell your cardiologist, right? Seriously, a spot we go out of our way to enjoy.More

We ate here on a recommendation from locals. Fun atmosphere, but my steak was very tough, so disappointed. Drinks were good and my companions liked their dinners.

We dined here last evening with friends to get our annual chicken fried steak fix. We visit the Fayetteville area every spring to attend the Marburger Farm antique show in nearby Round Top. Joe’s has gone upscale since our last visit with new furniture and...a larger more diverse menu. Our dinners were very good and our server was excellent. Joe’s is well worth the trip. Reservations are accepted.More
