Good service, tasty quality food for lunch on a road trip to South Texas. Brisket sandwich was very tasty with brisket tender and juicy. Menu was quite broad to include full dinner menu as well as lunch variety. Although service good, it was slow.

Was recommended and really enjoyed evening meal here. There were four of us and waitress treated us like family. Menu choices had bar-b-q, burgers, fried chicken, and chicken fried steak and more. All four us were pleased with food, service, and small town atmosphere.

This restaurant is okay. Decent food, nice staff and fairly clean even though it's dated. It's the best in Falfurrias and that ain't saying much.

Strickland's has been open for many years. I have lived in the Valley for almost 40 years and it has been there at least that long. The BBQ is always good. I usually get a chopped BBQ sandwich, but today I got a sliced brisket sandwich. the meat was very tasty and well flavored. Another outstanding this is that the... More

Have been eating here for many years. Have had opportunity to eat lunch here twice in the past month and as usual food has been excellent with large serving sizes and very reasonable prices. Especially good Mexican and American dishes. Personnel are always friendly and helpful and service is prompt. I promise you Strickland's is worth a drive even you... More

By the outside, you may not feel like stopping. You will be missing a nice local place. Honest food, honest prices and service with a smile. Some of the food needed the extra pop of the supplied salsa or hot sauce. This is not necessarily a bad thing to me.

I was traveling with my husband and two small children when we stopped here to eat. It is an old establishment and a bit run down but clean. We didn't expect too much from a highway restaurant but we were still disappointed. The food was extremely bland and not hot, the service was slow and unfriendly. We ordered chicken fried... More

Looks worn out, but the food, service and value were great. There are not many choices in Falfurrias and they all have pretty much the same menu. Burgers, some Mexican, and fried anything with some form of potato. We ate a 3 of the restaurants and this was by far the best one. The sweet tea was excellent as was the... More

Strickland is not on its last leg or faded. The outside is large and lengthy. You can't miss it. The inside has character and a decided Western atmosphere, if you like Roy Rogers. The service is top notch, the food is excellent and the prices reasonable. The menu is engthy and you will find something that will appeal to you.... More

The waitresses wear shirts that say "Strickly the Best" as well they should. I walked in not expecting much. The building looks like it is on its last leg so you can only imagine my surprise when I finished my food. I live in San Antonio where I have lots of restaurants to choose from. Let me tell you, this... More
