Visited from SC and that's where family wanted to go - so off we went. I believe that the restaurant must serve Utility Grade Steak. I should have ordered the Salmon! Absolutely the worst piece of meat I have ever tried to eat. Totally flavorless...and full of white gristle. Waiter seemed perplexed as to why I didn't want a box or doggie bag. I cannot stress enough how horrible the meat was - it isn't even graded (like Prime, Certified Black Angus, Choice, etc...) it is so bad. Can you give NO stars???More

Looking to go to dinner 4 of July or favorite restaurant the Washoe house closed early so we thought we would call cattlemens I ask what time they were serving till they said 9 pm I said great do I need a reservation she said...NO it is very slow I said we would be there in a half hour abou 6 with two other people going with us one was meeting us there so upon arrival we were greeted by the hostess we said dinner for four she intern asked if I had a reservation which I said I would’ve but the hostess on the phone said I did not need one and was told now we would have to wait .while there was open tables and now other people in front of us 10 minutes or so later we we’re finally seated.our waitress Sherri saved our anniversary dinner there was a lot of people wounding around with nothing to do like helping take dirty plates away or asking for water while Sherri is doing everything management needs to step up and get people to know and do there job .next time we will leave for the WASHOE house a bit earlier better food and serviceMore

I'm sure that everyone has a favorite steakhouse but if you haven't eaten here yet .... 😋 then consider my recommendation. You may forget about all the other steakhouse restaurants where you've eaten before. Overall excellent quality value & service over here.

There is a lot of fun stuff to see around the ranch before or after you eat for kids and movie buffs. Lake walk, animals, petting zoo, and cool pictures and stories about the numerous movies filmed on site. The steak was cooked and seasoned...right, and the price was better than your typical fancy steakhouse.More

We love this place!! Jazmin was awesome! The ribeye was perfect. There was little to no fat. Perfectly cooked medium rare. The filet cut like butter again perfectly cooked medium rare. The carpeting needs some updating but you can look past that when food is...that good.More

The steak is superb!! Aged, delicious, tender, flavorful and always cooked perfectly!! I am not crazy about the ranch beans and pineapple coke slaw but my husband loves them. The side of rice is very nice as is the baked potato. We had a wonderful...Makers Mark old fashioned and a glass of Robert Mondavi. We shared the Cowboy, a 44 oz bone in porterhouse. All this was just at $100 with a 20% tip!!! We love this place when we are on a road trip through El Paso!!!More

Totally worth the wait and price! We went for dinner on our last night in El Paso/Las Cruces. The wait was a little over an hour, but it is worth it. While we waited, I enjoyed a pina colado and we walked around outside to...enjoy the horse. At dinner we started with tempura shrimp-very delicious. I had the 10 oz strip, and my husband had the ribeye. The steaks were delicious! We also had dessert. I had the raspberry cheesecake. My husband had the chocolate cake and ice cream. The chocolate cake was the better choice. The cheesecake was ok. If you get it, I would suggest without the sauce. You must check out all the animals before or after dinner!More

We were there early for a midweek supper. There was no wait as we were there shortly after 5pm. I got the top sirloin - it was a great piece of meat , perfectly medium rare. My companions got the ribeye and the NY strip,...and were both very pleased. On the downside, the backed potatoes were not steaming hot, nor was the communal pot of beans. Service was excellent - attentive without being overbearing.More

This place is just such a treat that you have to visit when in the area. When you get into the restaurant you see the movie posters of flicks you saw that were filmed here. The place is a live action ranch for any kind...of desert movie. The restaurant is excellent and simple. Good steaks, excellent service, wide array of items to order. It is just a wonderful experience.More

Ordered fried shrimp appetizer to share, cowgirl t-bone cook medium, corn on the cob, and two beers. My wife ordered the same. Bill was $125. Pros - steak was top notch. Every bite was excellent. Service was excellent. Cons - sides leave a lot to...be desired. Mushrooms, green chilie, and beans come out of a can. You can taste it. Bread is not made fresh. Tastes like store bought dinner rolls. Coleslaw is nothing special. Covid precautions are over the top. Long wait to get in. Restaurant smells weird and looks dingy and out of date. Attractions were closed off when we went. Long drive from NM.More

Our first meal at the Cattleman’s Steakhouse was in 1977. The decor has improved but the food has been consistently the best you can find anywhere. Great steaks, beans, coleslaw and pecan pie.

We never actually made it into the restaurant. It was 4pm on a Saturday and the line of cars was out onto the highway. There was no signing or communication as to what the procedure for entry was. We found out from others that you...have to put your name in and then wait in your car. And.....get your temperature scanned. Really? It has been a year now.More

Went in looking for a decent meal. Got gun looking thermometer shoved on my face without my consent. Went in and a person NOT wearing a mask told us we would be seated or served without a mask, while the whole dining room was fully...seated all the way NO social distancing and NO masks. Or was it just because we are Native? Highly unprofessional and racist.More

Great meal with a great view. Steak and baked potato were top notch. Absolutely loved the pineapple cole slaw. Only slight downside was that the bread was just ordinary at best. Service was attentive but not pushy. Appreciated the COVID procedures-- waiting in car instead...of crowded lobby until table was ready.More
