We often look for a local restaurant as opposed to a chain and this fits that criteria. More like real Mexican than Tex-Mex and very good. Good selections to choose from, but neither cheap nor too high priced.

A group of 13 of us met here for dinner on a Friday night at 6. We were able to make a reservation, which was nice. We got sat immediately. Waiter came and got drinks quickly. After we ordered it took some time for our food to come out, which was understandable since it was a larger group. A few... More

Quality is always reliable here. The food is always good and fast. There is nothing on the menu that anyone would not enjoy. Ideally, it's a family spot and good for kids.

We are not used to Mexican food but to us the food we received at Los Camales was what we expected it to taste like. We went to this restaurant 2 times and each time had something different including tacos, enchiladas, fajitas. The portions are a good size and there is also rice and refried beans on the plates. We... More

We always enjoy eating breakfast here. Service is good. Not to busy so we get to enjoy our meals. Definitely try the chicken chilaquiles.

This is my first restaurant to mark Terrible. I'm not picky but the service was worse than bad. My wife called in early to see if we could get our order in, which we were going to take out. The guy said we should call later and hung up. We had tickets we bought from the highschool so we had... More

Dinner with my husband and daughter. The wait time was crazy we waited about 35 minutes for the food. The chips and salsa were good until I saw a hair in the chips yuk. So we waited and waited. Didn't like it the fajitas were tasteless(bland) boring. The server was friendly and attentive. Will not go back.

A newly remodeled restaurant on North Business 281 in Edinburg. To start off, forget the front door. That is purely for show. The Entrance is in the back, red hand painted sign. Lots of attention to detail on the decor maybe too much. The decor and ambiance is typical Mexican and Mexian cuisine. The Buffet had a variety of soups,... More

Took my family out this past Sunday and was not impressed. I didn't give a lower rating because I understand that the renovations may have hurt their ability to showcase their potential as a host. The buffet was average at best. It had the usual fajitas, chicken, ribs, enchiladas, carne guisada, pork & fried fish. It was lacking to say... More

The food is very good, not a chain type thing. The restaurant and service could be better. It is a typical Mexican restaurant in the Rio Grande, wait staff speaks primarily Spanish and the menu is a little confusing and hard to read. If you have ever ate at a restaurant in Mexico then you know the drill, just overlook... More
