So everytime we have been here there is a pretty long wait (1 hour) but it is worth it. We were told an hour and sat in about 45. We went to the winery/bar area where you can get drinks which was good - otherwise...More

I don’t really like barbecue, but when in Texas you have to go. This place had amazing bbq turkey that I wish I could recreate! I would highly recommend going out to driftwood, you won’t be disappointed!!

Best barbeque in the state! Pork ribs are my fav, but cannot go wrong with the brisket. They now serve brisket lean, moist, or burnt ends. I personally like the moist which has a little more fat. Everyone in our group was pleased and full....More

BBQ is great. The potato salad is more German style and the cole slaw is vinegar-y but good. The chocolate pecan pie is not chocolate pecan pie - it is a chocolate chip pecan pie. Make sure to take cash - no credit cards.

Salt Lick is a must visit if you’re in the Austin area. It’s located in Drift Wood, a short drive from Austin. Plenty of seating inside and out under huge live oak trees. This is true open pit BBQ. Their bison ribs are delicious. They...More

This was not a planned stop on our vacation, but I am so glad we decided to eat there. The ribs and brisket was the best we’ve ever had and the portions were plentiful! Wonderful meal and service!
