We visited the Sweet Basil as a large group, it was a last minute decision so we did not have a reservation. The restaurant was very accommodating, staff was friendly and very helpful.

The last time I reviewed this place, I wasn't impressed. Since then, I believe Sweet Basil has had a change in ownership or management, and it's evident in the food and the service. We have eaten here several times over the last six months and have received some delicious meals and attentive, pleasant service. I can recommend the House Cashew... More

Poor excuse for Thai food. Shame on me for not paying attention to the reviews. I should have known I was in trouble when they didn't know what "Drunken Noodles" was (or don't offer it, wasn't quite sure). The chicken had an already cooked and reheated taste to it. The shrimp soup (Tom Yum) was pretty good but my "spicy... More

Thai tea was interesting to try, but I liked it. Their food could have been a little more spicy, but I enjoyed every dish I tried.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for about two years now, and they have always lived up to my first visit, dining in or taking out. The prices are average Thai restaurant prices, maybe $12-16 entrée. The atmosphere is simple but there is a bit of Thai flare in the décor nothing too elaborate. You can definitely have a date... Sweet Basil, a Thai restaurant, offers a pleasant alternative to the ordinary. The food is well prepared and seasoned. Sweet Basil has a rating for the degree of spice heat in each dish and it can be changed on request. Overall a very good experience.

I think it's pretty evident by the negative and dismal reviews (of what I believe to be a fine establishment) that you probably don't know real Thai food. I have been to Thailand several times and it tastes just like something you would get at an authentic restaurant there. My favorite dishes are as follows: crab rangoons, tom kha shrimp... More

I rarely review the decline and fall of restaurants, but my previous review of Sweet Basil as decidedly hopeful. At the time, it was transitioning to new ownership with a renewed commitment to excellent Thai food in comfortable ambience. Simply put, Sweet Basil has lost its way. Spring rolls, once a house specialty, now consist almost entirely of rough-chopped iceberg... More

My family went to Sweet Basil for the first time Friday July 26, 2013. REALLY wish we had not. My wife and son shared the Seafood Mixed Grill skewers. The scallops were no larger than a peanut, the shrimp were barely large enough to cover the skewer stick and the mussel sent my son to their restroom to "evacuate". Awful!... More
