Sangam is quite the hidden treasure. We had to travel to Dallas or Fort Worth for indian food. We are so glad Sangam is closer. The food is delicious, home made and authentic. Samosas are perfectly fried and not too oily, chicken tikka masala has...the perfect mix of spices, the butter chicken is addictive! Just the right mix of flavors and super fresh. We are definitely fans for life!More

No buffet during the pandemic. Dining room is closed, so only take out. When he gave me my take out order, I had to ask for silverware since it wasn't in the bag. I told him we were going to eat the food at a...park, then he offered paper plates and napkins.More

Whenever we are craving Indian food this is our go to place. My husband and I love the boneless chicken biryani and the samosas, it’s always satisfying! If you haven’t tried the lunch buffet it’s a great time to taste several of their dishes, absolutely...delicious!! Very friendly service too!More

This is the only Indian restaurant that Google maps showed in Denton. Travelling, we came here for lunch about 2 p.m., served ourselves from the buffet and tried nearly every item on the buffet. Price was good, less than some Indian restaurants. Not being a...connoisseur of subcontinent food, I like a buffet, so I can see what I'm getting before I get it. Some of the names are beyond my ken. Spiciness was on the mild side, which would doubtless disappoint some diners. We thought the buffet had good variety, a selection of substantial vegetarian dishes, some meat dishes, some dessert items, several chutneys, Indian pickles, and kheer. Other dishes not on the buffet could be ordered. According to a sign on the wall and also the owner, all the food is halal. The staff were friendly, readily answered questions, and replenished items that ran low. The ambiance was utilitarian, not upscale. The fresh flowers and clear carafes of water on the tables added a touch of class. Denton is lucky to have this restaurant that offers cuisine that is a change of pace.More

My brother and his family have eaten here several times, I've always eaten at "gas station Indian food" Rasoi, but I don't even know if they are still open. I know their Avenue C location closed and I couldn't get myself over to their new...location. At any rate, this place is fairly clean and the staff seem to understand the vegan request. They have a buffet during the day, but I was there for dinner and ordered off of the menu. Everything I had was pretty good. The samosas were delicious, but the center wasn't cooked very well. This seems to be an issue with many Indian food places, I'm guessing the samosas are made and frozen and then deep fried upon order, leaving the center not completely "reheated" it was still good. The tamarind chutney was fair, it was thin but delicious. For my entree, I had channa masala - this is my go to dish when eating Indian food. It was nearly perfect. It could have been a bit spicier, but I could have asked for that. The only bread they have for vegans is the tandoori roti. Made from wheat, it is similar to chipati. All in all a good experience, I'll eat there again.More

Stopped in for dinner and had some very good dishes. The samoas were fantastic and the sauces that were brought out with them were amazing. We had two dishes with Naan and both were good, the chicken curry was good not great but I will...definitely go back and try some other dishes. I will say they need different lighting in there it is so bright its like being in an interrogation room. They also do a lunch buffet.More

We went for the buffet. There were four or five choices of vegetarian dishes. And four or five of non vegetarian options. There was also a small salad bar. All the vegetarian options were very good. We will definitely be back, without the kids!

We love Indian food and there are not a lot of offerings in the area so we tried out this relatively new place for dinner. it is a pretty small store front in a little strip of shops around Texas Womans University. We chose to...try the samosas which were quite good along with Lamb Vindaloo and they were able to prepare a Lamb saag for me though not shown on the menu. We also ordered garlic naan. The food was all very good and reasonably priced. We inquired about the lunch buffet they advertise for about $10. Apparently it has a number of meat and vegetarian offerings that may differ somewhat each day. While we were there several people came in for take out orders and judging by the location and offerings I would guess they do more lunch and dinner take out than dinner sit down. Probably popular with TWU and UNT student population in the area. They do not serve beer or wine but allow BYOB. We will definitely go back an try the buffet.More
