Hi Boyd S, Thank you for the great review! Our chef makes the hatch green chili topping for the enchiladas daily from scratch. You should try our homemade chili with a dash of green chili on top! We hope you return soon.

We went early to pick a 5K race packet, and stayed for dinner. The food was excellent, and because the place was only 1/3 full, the service was good too. However, when I got the bill, a can of local craft beer was $7, and...More

Description
The Local Oak is a restaurant that serves fresh and savory food made daily from scratch. The kitchen is about creating a modern twist on classic American comfort food served with Texas hospitality. Our extremely talented partner and cook in the kitchen, Paul Delgado, creates our unique dishes, soups, and hand makes food from scratch daily. Mom’s Meatloaf, our Hatch Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas, and Frito Pie are just a few of our best sellers that we offer at reasonable prices. The Local Oak is just minutes from downtown Dallas in Oak Cliff and conveniently located just south of the Bishop Arts District streetcar stop at the southwest corner of Zang and Davis which runs free to and from Reunion Station! We also have plenty of free parking in our dedicated parking lots off Zang between 7th and 8th Streets on the north and south side of our establishment.
