This is one of our favorite Tex Mex restaurants. We love their tacos and their enchiladas. Both are delicious. My mother had the tortilla soup. It is full of chicken and a good meal for her. When we first moved to the Dallas area we asked about a good place to go for Mexican food and we were told about Casita's. We have been regular customer for 40+ years.

Hard to believe I've not been to Casita before now, even though it's quite close to me. The restaurant is a tad bit off the beaten path, and has an outside appearance that might suggest a "dive", but once you get inside, everything is fresh, and welcoming. And the food is simply wonderful. The place was bustling on a Tuesday evening with most tables full, and they had live music as well (more on that in a minute!). Service was immediate, and I loved the menu choices. I had the Chile Relleno dinner with rice and beans (I ordered whole beans which were delicious!). I chose shredded chicken for the relleno stuffing, and it was a substantial portion. All in all, I loved the dish, and the restaurant overall. I found it very strange (never in my life have I experienced this) however that while I was eating dinner, the band started playing a medley of US military anthems. Until then, they were playing a variety of popular music tunes (mostly country music songs which are my favorites). THEN, they asked everyone to rise from their dinners while the band played the National Anthem! Was I at a sports event?? I didn't say anything but would be remiss if I didn't point this out. It was bizarre. I will go back to experience the great food and service. I'm as patriotic as the next guy but really, the National Anthem at dinner??? Let's leave that for the next baseball/football game.

Being from Minnesota, our exposure to good Mexican food is rather limited. With a few exceptions, most of what we find locally has been adjusted to more mild midwestern tastes. That's why when on a trip to Dallas, we were hoping to have a more "authentic" Mexican dining experience. We found this place near our Airbnb and decided to give it a try. It turned out to be a great choice! From the food, the flavors, the drinks, the music and the whole atmosphere, Casita Tex Mex Bar and Grill was just what we were hoping for. This was our first night in Dallas and it was a very enjoyable evening out, setting the tone for a great trip. Thank you Casita Tex Mex Bar and Grill!

The beer was cold, the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place. If you want fancy mex dining this place is not it. If you want authentic Mexican food dining this is the place to go. Staff was great, no wait at all. I'd love to open a branch in my home town. My advice is to go here and eat.

My and I took my 91 year old mother out for TexMex . The food was delicious. My mother had a single brisket enchilada with Ranchero sauce. It is her favorite and she is always happy with it. When we first moved to Garland in 1979 we asked where to get good Mexican food. We were told Casitas and we have been regulars for 40 years. Always consistent and the food is special.

This was a great, seemingly genuine, tex mex experience near where my business meeting was, with an inviting interior. The Salsa and chips were fantastic. I ended up with a taco dish; despite being in heart of a busy lunch time, the food came out quick, and was very good. The server was very friendly, and extremely efficient. Overall, a great meal.

Having grown up in San Antonio, I have a soft spot for great quality, no frills Tex-Mex. This place fits the bill. Based on previous reviews, I had the tamales, which were excellent. My wife had the tres amigos taquitos (street tacos) and loved them. All the food was generously portioned (including the kids meals) and hot. Chips and salsa were good, as was the queso. The bowl of queso was more than enough for 4 people. Overall a great experience!

Came here on the recommendation of a local and we were not disappointed! Chips are served warm and fresh, salsa is fantastic and the service was prompt and friendly. We did go one a Tuesday evening around 7pm and had no wait. The brisket tacos were so flavorful that I’m considering going back again tomorrow! Overall, I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone!

I used to live in Dallas (now Washington State) when Pete Dominguez was the king of Dallas Tex-Mex. Alas, the dynasty eventually shrunk down to Casita Dominguez, now Casita Tex-Mex. ButI’m here to say that the food and service are as good as they ever were. The nachos and Chef’s Special at lunch today tasted like they did forty years ago. Dallas Tex-Mex is alive and well. Some good things never die.

Fur lunch today. Seated immediately. Waited 10 mins to get water. Another 10 mins to order. 20 mins to get my food. So after 40 mins I finally am able to feast on my lunch. All this was handled by the hostess. Though the place was half full - I Never saw my waiter. Food was great otherwise. Still a place to eat for gone cooked Mexican food. Tex-mex ... the way my grandmother cooked.

This is the best Tex Mex restaurant in Dallas and Austin I believe. The staff was incredibly service oriented, nice, polite. Food was DELICIOUS! MOSTLY regulars, everyone New each other and I know why.

This is a quaint little Tex-Mex dive that is clean and bright. It feels a little like a vacation spot. The food is slightly bland, but good. It's quiet and understated environment is a big plus. We probably won't make a special trip to eat jere again, but we would stop in if we were in the area...maybe. It is definitely worth a try. The salsa is spectacular.

One of the best mexican restaurants in Dallas. We have been eating at Casitas for more than 30 years. Great tacos and the chili on the beef enchilidas is delicious. The food is consistently excellent.
