The place is very refined. They pay attention to the smallest details. From the point of view of serving, it is above Puter Luger and Gallaghers in NY, The Capital Grille in Las Vegas or Nadaman in Hong Kong. I appreciated the fact that shortly...after our order was taken, one of the managers came to our table and we talked a bit. And I was truly impressed by the care with which he supervised that the steak was made according to my requirements, before it was portioned. And the porterhouse is one of the best I've ever eaten. The steak fries didn't live up to the restaurant's claims, but that's not important. Potatoes are not the main hero here. Milk Chocolate Mousse and Toasted Marshmallow and New York Style Cheesecake were 10, as was the steak (on a scale from 1 to 10). All of this definitely defines it as one of the best profile restaurants in the world. Last but not least, we were satisfied with the price-quality ratio. I dined at more famous restaurants, with prices higher than those here but with much lower standards than Pappas Bros. Steakhouse.More

Pretentious, moi? This is called a steak house. The 16 oz "prime" strip steak could not have weighed more than 10 oz but that was a good thing. It was so tough that it was nearly impossible to chew. 16 oz. would have broken all...of my teeth. The wine list was ridiculously pretentious with dozens of bottles priced above $1,000, and several above $5,000. The "sommelier" helped us navigate through with his condescending descriptions of the tastes of each wine. I would love to give him a blind taste test. I do not object to high prices, but I do expect some value for my money.More

Absolutely perfect for a Corporate Dinner. We are a company outside of Massachusetts and we were originally scheduled to have a business meeting/dinner there in February and because of an ice storm we had to reschedule. My contact Mary was more than accommodating helping me...plan it all to start and then helping me reschedule to a new date. The private room was beautiful, felt like a real traditional steakhouse. The fireplace lounge area was a perfect touch. Also the screen to project during dinner was a nice touch. They had someone on hand to help us set up the AV and all of the staff were more than gracious. Wonderful attentive service and delicious food - our employees loved it all! Perfection!More

We are currently travelling around the US as part of our honeymoon. We also have our 11 month old with us. We decided to go to Pappas Bros for our last night in Dallas and for our big meal out and we weren’t disappointed! Straight...off the bat, this place is pricey, it’s for special occasions. However you certainly get what you pay for in every aspect, service, attention to detail, quality of food, surroundings, everything. Our server Katy, was absolutely amazing, making us feel straight at ease (having a toddler on a meal out is always a trip in to the unknown) explaining everything but giving us space when needed. She went above and beyond, even giving us a sample of the Lobster bisque as we had mentioned we had it on our wedding menu. At the end of the meal we had absolutely no room for the amazing looking desserts but she prepared us a piece of cheesecake with a special message in Chocolate, which she boxed up for us and let us take with us. The food was amazing. The portions are crazy big (coming from the UK) and everything was delicious, especially the Crab and Mac. Thank you for giving us a lovely send off from the amazing Dallas, we can’t wait to come back.More

Pappas was rated the best steakhouse in Dallas on recent TripAdvisor and D Magazine list. We had already tried a few of the steakhouses on the list, so we were excited to try the #1 steakhouse on the list. My husband and I (Asian couple)...made a reservation for 5pm on Saturday night. When we arrived, the place was fairly empty. The hostess greeted us right away and walked us the entire length of the restaurant passing many empty tables and seated us at the back of the restaurant - cordoned off from the main dining area. We thought it strange that they would seat us so far back but decided to make the best of it. The service was fine, with only one of the staff bring a bit abrupt/rude while he delivered the food to the table. Others were pleasant enough. The food was good, but not amazing. The steaks were rather salty and the sides were fairly bland. The dinner came out to be $300 for the two of us. This was NOT an experience worthy of all the accolades given as the #1 steakhouse in Dallas! We were first to be seated in this area and as the dinner rolled on, we noticed other tables around us being seated. Funny enough, they were all Asians. I joked with my husband that perhaps this was the minority section thinking this was just a coincidence. NOT! As we were leaving - walking the entire length of the restaurant, we noticed that there wasn't a single Asian customer seated in the main dining area. They were all seated in the back, in the cordoned area. Something seemed a bit off so I searched the Yelp reviews and saw others had commented about the same experience - minorities were sat in the back. Some even wrote about discriminate service - where they were ignored by wait and management staff while all the other tables around them received full service. These complaints go years back it seems. Needless to say, we will certainly not go back. Perhaps Pappas has so much business that they don't really give a bleep about losing minority customers. That's their prerogative I suppose. But one thing is for sure! Pappas does not embrace the spirit of Dallas and should not be given the recognition as best of Dallas in any list! Rather, they are an embarrassment to the Dallas culture! I hope TripAdvisor does a bit more research and remove them from all of their recommended lists until they fully address their racist business practice. Dallas has many fantastic restaurants more worthy!More

Great service from start to finish. All the staff were friendly and knew their roles very well. Wine was very good and the steaks were the best I've had, perfectly cooked. When they were brought to the table they had just come off the grill....Very tasty! Sides are big enough to share and the desserts were incredible. A cut above from the beginning to end, I would definitely go back. The hustle and bustle along with the noise kinda adds to the total experience.More

I was unsure what to expect with a fancier place like this. It was excellent. The service was top notch. The waiter and the sommelier both had excellent knowledge of the wines. Portions were huge. Steaks were so tender and cooked perfectly. They were excellent...that night and great for breakfast the next day. Worth the vacation splurge.More

Business meeting with out of town guest. The filet was outstanding and the sides were good. The sides are meant too be shared, so you shouldn't order as if they were only for one person. (Lesson learned.) Our meal included the steaks, mushrooms and asparagus....I was a bit surprised that the mushroom were not sliced and sautéed in butter but presented as whole mushrooms in a sauce. Note that there were a lot of mushrooms in that side disk, more than 3 of us could eat. With a glass of wine each, and a split dessert, the bill was more than $368 not including tips. A little pricey in my opinion, but the food and table were very nice for doing a business dinner.More

This was probably the best experience we’ve had at any steakhouse and we’ve had quite a few. Started with the Shrimp Cocktail, Caesar Salad and Lobster bisque and they’re all exquisite. Bone in Filet was just perfectly cooked and it literally melted in our mouths-...Lobster Tail just pure flavor and Troy was a phenomenal server.More

I went for my birthday-wanted a memorable experience-and it was! The shrimp cocktail is for sharing(like most everything on the menu) 6 huuuge shrimp in an awesome presentation-next comes a house salad with the best dressing=avocado ranch-I've ever tasted! Then the star-a 12 ounce filet...cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth good...the only thing that could top off this meal is..creme brulee..and it was NOT a disappointment-it lived up to the standard set by the rest of the meal=excellent(even though I couldn't even finish it-generous potion) And finally the service-Nate was perfect-arriving with fresh glasses of tea,and checking at timely intervals for refills of butter or bread. All in all, definitely worth the price of admission-treat yourself well-you deserve it!More

Each locale has a different beer menu since they stock local beers and spirits. I would call them and simply ask.
