We ate at Kenny's for the second time last night--the first was in Sept--and, in our view, it gets our vote for the "Best American Restaurant." On both occasions, everything from the food to the service was top notched. We split the smoked salmon, a...salad with Kenny's hot bacon/honey mustard dressing (a tip to Houston's loyalists--it's just as good), and the redfish that was topped with crab and grilled shrimp and was delicious in every way. Our server was Brandon, who was attentive, professional and welcoming, and the kitchen split the salad and the entree before they arrived at the table. And while the atmosphere is casual, the food both times we were there would rival any high-end spot in the country. All in all, a first-rate dining experience. We certainly wish we could transport the entire restaurant--chefs, staff and food--to Nashville. In the meantime, we're telling Santa that's what we want for Christmas.More
