I've been here several times previously, but the last time was a huge disappointment. We arrived at the restaurant and was told there was a wait but we were the only people waiting so it would only be a few minutes (note: they didn't take our name or write anything down). So, we went to the bar and the bartender... More

We've been here several times in the past but this most recent was something of a disappointment. We arrived about 7pm on a Wednesday night and the place was virtually empty. I thought that was strange because in the past it was always busy so before we arrived I was afraid of a lengthy wait. I was shocked to see... More

Ambience of this restaurant was nice for a strip retail center. All open area seating and had live music that night but not too loud. Wait staff was friendly and helpful as well. Amount of food for price was small but most of the food was good. Crawdad enchiladas were far from being stuffed as indicated but the sauce was... More

This restaurant was highly recommended. However, my experience wasn't great at all. It was on a late Saturday evening and my entrée came out before the appetizer. The appetizer was half the portion in which it should have been. My pasta entree was not enjoyable. But the waitress could not have been more hospitable. She was the only reason that... More

We really wanted to like this place. We arrived at 7:00 just as the musicians began to play, and it was so loud. We asked to be moved to the patio which was ok as it was a decently cooler night. The food took forever to arrive. We both ordered seafood gumbo and were horribly disappointed in the lack of... More

The Alligator Cafe was our go-to place for ten years or so. Then, the ownership changed. Now, we will probably not be back. We got teased about the amount of times we checked in here. We got asked if we were stockholders. Finally, some of our pickier friends agreed to visit and see this wonderful place. They were a few... More

My husband and I were frequent (as in a few times a week) patrons of this restaurant for over ten years. The original owner sold the restaurant a few months ago, and the new owner is ruining what was a great restaurant. We went for dinner with friends on a Saturday recently. Our friends had heard us rave about the... More

We really wanted to start choosing restaurants that weren't the normal big box chains on the corner. So we read all the reviews and headed to Alligator Cafe. It was a Thursday night so we thought okay it wouldn't be crowded. Boy were we right...we were the only people there for most of our meal/experience except for 2 women who... More

I ordered blackened trout. The fish was over-cooked and not so tasty. My kid order a shrimp gumbo and she said it was not so good compared with what she had before in New Orleans. Service was good though.

I had the privilege of eating here with my daughter for her birthday. The service was great and they had many options on the menu. The waitress was very sweet and make wonderful suggestions. The decor was fun and they had live music, also.
