What an experience! A packed house on Dec. 24th, yet the service and quality of this wonderful French restaurant was impeccable. The quality and taste of anything on the menu was 5 Stars. The onion soup, pan sautéed sole, tournedos with the house sauce, scallops and raspberry soufflé were the best we have ever eaten. A must for anyone desiring... More

There are a couple of reasons why my restaurant reviews in the DFW area are either 4 or 5 stars. For several years, I was in a sales career that came with a generous expense account which allowed me to take buyers to lunch. Also, I read Trip Advisor reviews and study online menus so, I have a pretty good... More

Lavendou is fast becoming a family favorite. This was the second time my wife and I have visited. Service is excellent, although the wait staff can sometimes be gruff, albeit efficient. We had sautéed frog legs as an appetizer and followed with a delicious grouper in a champagne-cream sauce. Dessert was the tart sampler and we paired with an excellent... More

This lovely restaurant is certainly reminiscent of a Provençal Bistro Classic deep yellow and blue colors in the table linens and decorative items. The menu is a perfect reflection too with amazing French onion soup, crepes and quiches and other choices. We ordered from the lunch menu. Another stand out was the perfect bread with a dipping sauce of olive... More

I have been to Lavender several times, and will return. But my experience last night was below par.Service is fabulous. That wine list is all you could want if you are seeking French wine. But my wife ordered salmon and it was very, very fishy. We eat salmon two or three times a week, so we know what is fresh... More

We had a big group, 25 or so, so we got the back room. The food was ok and the service friendly. Started with scallops, good. My pork loin was a bit dry. Dessert was apple tart w/ ice cream, ok. Its not fabulous but you get an honest eating experience.

I made a reservation for high tea as it was my mother-in-law's birthday and she is a tea enthusiast. The rate for the tea service was on the lower side of other restaurants I'd contacted, which was a bonus. I arranged for tea service for my mother-in-law and my husband, while I chose something from the menu as I am... More

After visiting Lavendou several times over the last two years, it is sadly time to bid adieu. The saucey entrees, crisp service and Provençal decor have seen better days. Bread and toppings are still good and well stocked. Soups are also good, but on the plain side. Entrees are generously portioned, but plates are often filled with pre-cooked starches and... More

I have to say that the meal that I had in this restaurant was one of the best that I have ever had. It was French country style food. I had Salmon in an eggplant puree. It was delicate and beautiful. My friend had cassoulet that she said was rich and hearty. The wine was nice and the bread was typically wonderful... More

This hidden jewel in north central Dallas is a must place to dine. The menu's are exciting as well as delicious! Just visited this past Saturday (Party of three) where I had none of the best presentations and taste of Lamb ever! The other two were Trout and Fillet of Sole ..... both just as excellent! Our server, Jean Phi,... More

Description
Lavendou, a retreat into the French countryside - a place where life is savored as much as the food. Lavendou is thoroughly French, from the inviting decor to the gracious service and authentic cuisine. But don't expect it to be pretentious. Owner Pascal Cayet is dedicated to providing service that is friendly and efficient. And you will find Chef Francois Soyez's menu to be deliciously approachable. Serving the lighter fare of Southern France, Lavendou offers many items to tempt your taste buds.
