I am from California. I enjoyed my meal there at the start of a week long conference at SMU. I felt I had a great quality meal of Texas BBQ.

Good food and service in a pleasant environment. I got the recommended baby back. Tender and flavorful. The rub made them too salty for my tastes.

Welcoming old style diner, great food and equally great service. Exceptional value for money. If you want some really well cooked, presented and served comfort food at very reasonable prices, this is the place to go. Loved it!!

Peggy Sue's was recommended by our hotel. Staff was very night and quick to refill glass (whether water or iced tea). Food was quick and delicious! And plenty of food. We ordered the special so we had a good variety of ribs, sausage, and brisket (plus 2 sides). We ordered the fried pie. Chocolate was much better than the apple... More

Went on a recommendation from my hotel and it was spot on. Great local BBQ place near the SMU campus. The servers are very friendly and welcoming, the food is fresh and delicious. I have the 3 meat sampler with the Baby Back Ribs, brisket and Jalapeño and cheddar sausage with Hopin John and Cole slaw sides. It was all... More

My wife loves the salad. My father loves the Peggy Soup. Personally, I love the brisket quesadillas. The seasoned fries are fantastic as well (I always order them extra crispy). The onion rings are hand-battered and are the big onion kind of rings with flaky crust. And the pies...oh my. We love the fried pies. The chocolate is our favorite.... More

This is some of the best brisket and smoked turkey in Dallas. I love their spicy sauce! The salad bar (yes, they have one!) is always fresh, although I usually have the onion rings instead of a salad. For dessert don't miss the fried pies. The interior will make you think you've stepped back into the 1950s.

This place has been here forever but still packs in the crowds! The ribs are beyond words. Order the sandwich if u want a smaller portion. Love the memorabilia on the walls.

We stopped here after visiting George W. Bush Library and it was well worth the stop. We had ribs, pulled pork and brisket and it was all great! Ribs were fall off the bone fantastic! This is the real deal BBQ, it's not fancy but it's not trying to be. Even the sides were terrific.

We were in the area and stopped in for a quick meal at this local spot - so glad that we did. Place was a bit out of date, but that added charm to this family establishment for me. I really enjoyed my pulled pork sandwich and the bbq sauce they brought to the table to go with it. Service... More
