This place is the anti-airport restaurant. It doesn't feel like the usual "what do you expect, we're in an airport terminal" feel to it. It's one level lower than the terminal, so you easily (and happily) forget that you're in an airport waiting on a delayed flight. The food was delicious...I ordered the shrimp, and it was every bit as... More

Had a huge layover in the DFW airport and decided to give this Pappadeaux's a try. Sat at the bar for a beer and some dinner. Service was great, much better than the restaurant in Arlington. I ordered the shrimp etouffee. WOW! There must have been a pound of shrimp under that rice and gravy. Had a great seasoning to... More

I was there yesterday was going to order the 12 ounce bug. My nephew and I went with the recommendation of the waitress and had the lump crab cakes with a caper sauce and avocados. It was delish. The French bread was hot with whipped butter. At her recommendation I mixed the caper sauce, avocado and crab cake and put... More

Nice respite in the middle of terminal. Fresh food, decent pricing for the freshness. Good selection of wines and beers.

Normally, eating in an airport is not very pleasant but Pappadeaux is a great place to enjoy a meal at DFW. It's located in the A Terminal on the lower level. The menu includes a variety of Cajun/New Orleans seafood favorites. I had a bowl of seafood gumbo and a wedge salad. Both were freshly prepared and tasty. Service was... More

Decent food, yes. Decent service, yes. 15.00 margaritas...wow, this is not New York. Was not in the mood for a heavy meal so I ordered off menu...one blackened catfish fillet and sautéed spinach. The bat cave elevator is cool, or take the escalator, whichever you prefer. The ambiance is true to all Pappadeaux's. There is free WiFi, which is always... More

I've been to Pappadeaux many times before. They have great red beans and rice. Simple, but really good. This lunch, I had a special with seared tuna, crab and prawns Cajun rubbed on top of roasted cauliflower . It was good, but a little too much salt. The service was good and mostly attentive. I'd recommend this restaurant. It's good... More

We chose this restaurant at DFW terminal A for dinner during a stop-over and had a great meal!! We shared the seafood gumbo (here's a tip-when you ask to share it, they put it in 2 bowl, each of which contained much more than a half portion), a fried shrimp po boy and a blackened catfish po boy and shared... This is my favorite lunch spot in DFW airport. If I have enough of a layover this is where you will find me. The location is downstairs so it does not feel like you are in the airport.
