About
Retro-style counter-serve offering burgers, hot dogs & a range of sides, plus soft-serve desserts. Some of the reviews from customer: "Awesome burgers and always great service when we go! We always get the standard with cheese and a few add-ons, one day I'd like to try something different but our usual is so good!" "Hands down my new favorite burger place in this part of Dallas. Had the standard with onion rings. The rings were perfect and the burgers are cooked perfectly."

The food was great! My son and I both ate large meals for less than $20. It was easy to find, the service was swift and super friendly. I liked the laid back, hole in the wall atmosphere. There were a lot of locals in and out and I can see why. I definitely recommend it. It was really convenient to the Children’s Aquarium too.

This place is a must if you are jonesing for old tymie burgers, fries, chili cheese dogs, shakes, etc. No frills East Dallas location. I've tried all the top Dallas burger joints and Harvey B's carries the day everyday. I rank it in the top 5 of Dallas burger places !

This is a old time-y place with old school burgers and onion rings. They don’t have much space to sit and eat but they do have great music, great customer service, and delicious food! They have a dollar off combos on Friday. Try to get there before rush hour! I will be visiting this place again in the future.
Oh, the onion rings are everything!!!! Meaning they are delicious 😋

Before the food chains and before the "gourmet burger joints" there was simple dine in diners that used fresh ingredients no conservatives and made to order - well this little moms and pops place is AWSOME!!! I ordered the 1/4 Ib chili cheese and onion and it was to die for, the chili was perfect, not salty full of flavor and just yummy!!! Oh my God I normally take pictures of my food sorry but i inhaled this one out!!! Also ordered the potato chips very yummy and so were the fried pickles!!! There is only 6 stools at this place very limited seating, but worth it! Next time I will be ordering delivary from all those delivary apps!!! A must try!!! Thank you for the excellent customer service and being so warm and welcoming!!!

Harvey B's is just a bit northeast of downtown. It's well-located for those traveling between downtown and the White Rock/Lakewood area. Let's just call the actual location of the restaurant "transitional." As the previous reviewer noted, there is limited seating so this is a good take-out place. Additionally, I thought the restaurant was a bit warm (I visited during an April afternoon). Regardless, the value is quite good - the burgers are juicy and well-made. I had the "Sub-standard" and couldn't finish it. Unless you are a serious athlete or train hard everyday, I don't think I'd recommend going with a larger option if you have concerns about your waste line. The meat is well-flavored and they definitely don't use the lean variety!
With regards to sides, they sell "spiralized" fries, which are more like chips/crisps (they look to me like they were cut with a mandolin). I don't like chips, but these were tasty - not too salty and the potato flavor definitely comes through.
This place is not one of the fancy Dallas burger restaurants - it truly is an old-school joint, and the prices reflect that. My total for a cheeseburger, spiral fries with cheddar, and a shake was about $14 with tax and tip. For that price, they give you a large volume of quality food. They're also very friendly. Hopefully this place does well.

We were looking for something different from our normal go-to's in East Dallas. I looked this place up online and it looked attractive--okay, it looked interesting.
It is a dive hamburger joint. I noted there is "seating", but it's really two counters with six barstools. Most people pick it up to go.
There are sandwiches and hot dogs, but people come here for the char broiled burgers, prepared to order. they also have excellent spiral fries (think chips), "old school" fries (straight cut) and delicious salt-and-peppery onion rings ($2.75 for a decent sized order.
The price is right! Have "The Standard", a half pound behemoth served with mustard, pickles, onions, lettuce and tomatoes. . . . and "never a charge for grilled onions". In your bag comes the ketchup and salt. My colleagues all had "The Substandard", at four ounces still pretty good size.
The patty tasted fresh, not machine formed. The bun was a bit greasy, and my sandwich had to be held together with the wrapper that barely covered it--I got everything along with grilled onions. It was gloriously drippy and juicy. If I had a complaint, it lacked salt, but my included packet remedied that issue.
This is not fancy, but again, a classic down and dirty hamburger dive. As we were leaving, I asked about the veggie burger (seemed out of place), but they said it was very popular. Actually, the counter person brought me behind the counter to talk with "Virge", the hamburger cooker, and he patiently explained what went into it and why it was popular.
At $8.66 for The Standard and onion rings it was an excellent deal, and I was not hungry for the rest of the day.
We will go back!
