Reserved the back room for a total of 20 people. We were seated quickly and sat at two separate tables. Room was decorated with branches and peacock feathers. Ordered heirloom tomatoes, trio fries, salmon tacos and tots for apps. I was most excited about trying the tots but they weren't anything special. I was actually more impressed with the house... Love this place! Been going for a few years now, and it keeps getting better! I was taken there on a date for my birthday, and, although there were birthday songs going on quite frequently around us, my date didn't request anything special for me. I'm not one to really celebrate in public ... FYI. The owner approached our table... More

Given the generally good reviews and the length of time this restaurant has been around, I can only surmise that we ordered the wrong thing because our food was really average. In fact, I sent back the tomato and watermelon salad because the tomatoes were so mushy and mealy as to be inedible. (I can't even believe the kitchen sent... More

A large group of us went for a birthday party. It was a Friday night, and the place was packed and noisy. A couple of people ordered the short ribs and enjoyed them. Most of us ordered the famous chicken fried steak. Mine was very good (three big pieces) and was cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, the food runners started screwing up... More

The fries appetizer were excellent. All fresh..not frozen. Meal was excellent. When they say chicken fried steak...they mean STEAK .... Not ground steak .. But chunks of steak. Mashed Potatoes were excellent. S'mores for dessert. What an excellent idea. Homemade marshmallows and graham crackers. Awesome!! The blood orange margarita was soooo good!!

Reservations at 12:30, we were sat after 1pm and it only got worse from there. One server for approx 25 of us in our group celebrating a birthday. They ran out of pictures for mimosas and didn't seem to care or offer alternatives. By the tine my table got our order other people were paying their bill. My poached eggs... More

I hate to write negative reviews, but this place deserves some criticism. We were a group of 11 that came for brunch. The inside was full so the hostess offered to seat us outside so as to get us a table immediately. Some of our party had a plane to catch at 330 pm, so we thought sitting down at... More

Waited over 30 minutes and didn't get the entire serving when they finally decided to run our order which we had been staring at for... More

Upon entering Tillman's, my group of Pittsburghers were not sure what to expect. We had met the head chef outside the doors as he was leaving for the night but he assured us that we were in good hands with his staff. He recommended the gouda stuffed tater tots as an appetizer and highly recommended the chicken fried steak as... More
