Outstanding waitstaff, knew the menu and gave great recommendations. Food was so fresh and absolutely delicious. Our family will definitely be back.

We visit Bolivar Peninsula at least once a year and we can really count on Stingaree for good seafood. Our servers during this year’s two visits, Tiffany and Brenda, as well as Kyle, the manager, were extremely kind and helpful. Staffing a restaurant seems extremely...difficult at the moment and they handled the stress and crowd with aplomb. Well done! They deserve raises, all around!More
We arrived at 5:30 and were told it would be an hour and a half wait. That wait turned into a 2 hour wait. The food was good, but nothing over the top that I would wait 2 hours for again.
Wife had the grilled seafood plater I had the fried. Both were excellent. Fresh and not over cooked and great flavor. The staff could have been more attentive but they were friendly.
This is a very popular place--there is a wait to get into it, but there are not a lot of options in the area. The service is a little slow because of the crowds. The best things on the menu are: Gumbo, Crawfish Etouffee, Shrimp...Etouffee, and the salad. The parking lot is a mess--wear your boots!More
With live music playing in the background, you can't beat the sunset over the bay. Fresh Seafood with smiling staff. Always great service.
Outstanding fresh Gulf seafood cooked any way you want. Inventive chef specials, and they will even cook the fish you caught if you want. Well stocked bar, live music on some weekends, and a beautiful sunset view of the bay. It's upstairs, so not sure...if they have good handicapped access. Call if you need to know. But the seafood and view were worth the trip. Can't wait to go back.More
First time back since pandemic. Food quality down. Just average. Over cooked. Best thing was the scenery. Better food on Galveston
We arrived around 6 on a week night in July and were told a two hour wait which we understood. Family party of 7. Polite hostess said all on the list would be served taking them way past their 8:00 closing. Two hours came and...went and we were not called. Unfortunately mosquitos swarmed and didn’t leave. We finally realized it was an impossible situation and left. We were never texted. We understand the food is delicious but we’re very reluctant to try again this year! Hope the management figures how to manage the crowds. I feel sorry for their staff!More
Down under bar was a ton of fun. Great service, live music and a wonderful sunset while we waited for our table. We played some dominoes (we brought) & the server brought some water for our dog. Upstairs in the restaurant there was a great...menu, delicious fresh seafood. We got our food very quickly despite the full dining room. Definitely will returnMore
After birding on High Island, this is our go-to spot for lunch. The service can be, well, relaxed, but we pass the time watching the tugs, barges and pleasure boats on the Intercoastal Waterway. Seasonal seafood is the thing to order here. On our most...recent visit, we treated ourselves to lump crab in lemon butter, pricey but worth the splurge. One of us had a huge baked potato as a side, the other a cup of red beans and rice that was tasty but a tad bland for this close to Louisiana. Our mixed salads hit the spot.More
This place is fantastic!!! The chargrilled shrimp is mind blowing. We had a 3 night stay and found this place on the 2nd night and ate here again the 3rd night. Lol. The steak was the best we’ve ever had as well. The baked potato...was soft and creamy.More
The food is good, and presumably fresh from the Gulf. But on a Thursday afternoon just after 5 pm it was crowded and boisterously loud. Communicating with people at our table was practically impossible. I mean, people were shrieking! Not just one or two, but...many. Very few patrons wore masks (this is April 2021), and no staff did! Seemed a very deliberate choice.More
We arrived for a late lunch and were the only ones seated downstairs to eat.Apparently they were busy upstairs. Waited over an hour for a simple meal and when t arrived, one meal was missing. In all the time we waited, no one offered more...drinks or checked on us even though they were not busy.More
Love this place. We bought a house in crystal beach because of the freedom we found on the peninsula while visiting in April 2020. You’re responsible for your own health and protection against covid. Wear a mask if you want. Don’t expect everyone else to....Drinks are great. Food is fried. Friends are abundant. Enjoy the views, sunsets, and freedom. 🇺🇸More
