I hear it's been around since 1928 so I had to try it. Daily specials under $10. I got the Chicken Fried Steak w/two sides and desert. The black eye peas were really salty and the chicken fried steak was a little tough. I've had CFS you could cut with your fork. The gravy I bet was an instant "just... More

We were looking for a place to eat the day after Christmas, and Roy's Cafe was open. Closes at 2PM, we were there about 1:30 and there were still lots of folks arriving for lunch. Clearly a local favorite. There is a daily special, and its possible to get a senior plate that is half the meat but same vegetables.... More

Wow, breakfast was awesome. Service was great, my coffee cup never was never empty. The biscuits and Gravy were great. The bacon was very good. We would definitely go back.

I've eaten lunch there and it was just as good. It's an excellent small-town downtown café. The waitstaff is very friendly and attentive. This place is definitely worth getting away from the interstate for.

My friends and I stopped by here based on TripAdvisor recommendations. Home cooked food - we tried roast beef, chicken fried steak, and catfish. My friend said the yeast rolls were wonderful. I wasn't quite as happy about the sign on the restroom, though. "Different" people not welcome - even in a single stall, locked door bathroom.

We stopped here based on reviews I previously read and we were absolutely delighted with this choice! Our breakfasts were absolutely wonderful & their biscuits and gravy were delicious! We definitely left "full" and will recommend to others as well as eat here again!

Thanks to a quick search on Trip Advisor, we had a tasty lunch in this small town diner. We both had burgers which were quite juicy and delicious. The street front was darling with a collection a painted pianos decorating the walk. We were on a back roads trip starting in Indianapolis and ending in Austin.

My wife and I met a couple here for breakfast. We each had something different. The quality of the food was very good. We loved the friendliness and professionalism of the folks who served us, from being seated to served. Restaurant itself has quaint charm. Menu was reasonably priced and it's down in the historic part of town. We would... More

Our family tried Roy's on our return home day. We found this to be a pleasant experience. The service was good & the food was good. Had the breakfast burrito which was enough to satisfy.

Stopped for lunch at 1:30 when the close at 2. You could tell because the bread was stale. The chicken fried steak was more batter than steak. The mashed potatoes were very dry. The buttered spinach was fine and the banana pudding was okay. The sweet tea wasn't very sweet. The waitress was very nice and helpful. Due to the... More
