Wonderful freshly made thin crust pizza with outdoor seating. This is fun when the weather cooperates. It is a bit pricey.

Hi Jan thanks for your "Great Pizza with outdoor seating" review! We appreciate your 4 star rating! Regarding your comment of "a bit pricey": A wood fired sour dough pizza costs 12 bucks at (cheese and house made sauce) & price is based on cost. Our margins are already lower than even factory/franchise pizza. Here are some of the things... More

Comfort Pizza is a staple 'round these parts. Thin-crust, wood-fired pizza are topped with fresh mozzarella and served up on daily made dough. It's real popular so get their early or reserve your dough in advance (yup, you can do that!) and cozy up under a live oak tree just off the main street to people watch and satisfy your... More

I have now visited Comfort Pizza 4 times in my 3 stays at the (charming) B&B down the street. As I said in my first review, I am not big on pizza…but I can’t get enough of this stuff! Everything on the menu seems to be a safe bet, as I have tried 5 different pizzas and they have all... More

Hi Jill & welcome back to Comfort & Comfort Pizza! Thank you so much for your kind praise and for taking the time to leave us a review. "Dry on a good day" comment from the "local".... :) .....well for some guests the idea of placing their order directly with the chef in his kitchen (chef/pizzaiolo/owner) is novel to them... More

Been here a few times and it seems the prep is falling off a bit, maybe because of the longstanding "now hiring" sign. Ordered a veggie pie and the olives, garlic were whole as well as the artichoke which was quartered. So what you ended up with was 6-7 whole olives and roasted garlic cloves just scattered around the pie... More

Thanks Ruckstell for your review! Thanks TexasChic13 for the kind words and we are so glad your Comfort Pizza was "Terrific". We are understaffed did you notice the help wanted sign out front. Donna, Thanks for your kind words. We are so glad you enjoyed Ty's recommendation. The only place open, the night we stayed in Comfort -- but that's not a criticism. It's very laid-back outdoor patio dining. We had greek salad and a straightforward pizza. Really good, nice thin crust. Wine by the bottle or BYO (from High's just up the road). The cook/owner does everything.

We were shopping in Comfort and a lady in the library recommended this place, she said they serve some organic and natural foods and make a lot of the dishes on site. We eat regularly at Comfort Pizza when passing through town on our way to Ft. Davis. They make some of the best crust I have found anywhere, and the servings of wine are generous. Be sure to check with them before your meal to be sure they have dough, for sometimes they run out since it is always freshly made.... More

Gator2743 thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to leave a review on Trip Advisor. Great tip regarding calling ahead and reserving dough (830-995-5959). Slow food for sure. Took longer then expected but worth the wait. Tasted fresh. Crust was thin and crispy. 👍🏻 Topping options were plentiful. BYOB option but the fees are nuts. Overall very good and would go back.

Dkpamthera...thanks for taking the time to give us an online review. We're so glad you found your Comfort Pizza "yummy". BTW, Corkage is 10.00 per table (not per bottle...that's 10.00 for as many bottles as your party cares to bring and we provide wine glasses for the table). The beer BYOB is just 5.00 per person.
