The first time I ate here it was excellent, but the last two times I've been very disappointed (and gotten indigestion, which almost never happens to me, both times). Too rich, not enough flavor, and the quality is not commensurate with the price.

Wonderful lamb and scallop dinners however wine was served too warm...both whites and reds. Service and atmosphere were nice and what you would expect for a nice restaurant.

Veritas brings a cosmopoliatn touch to a town that's ready for it. The menu is well-conceived, the wine list is extensive, and the servers were knowledgeable and friendly. What went wrong? They need to figure out how to be offer seafood dishes without having the place smell of the fishing boat. There's a pervasive heavy scent of grease and fish,... More

Excellent meal and outstanding service! Chef Tai is amazing! Sashimi the best we've had anywhere. Strongly recommend entire menu.

Tasted some of the wife's crab cake wasn't impressed. Very small quantities. I had the Filet and shrimp. Filet regular filet size. Cooked as order but pretty bland. The 2 shrimp that came with it were very good but yes there were only 2. Very small quantity again. Son in-law said the sea bass was good but was a very... More

The family went for a birthday lunch, complete with a nice bottle of Proseco. Three of us ordered the 3 different Lunch Trios which were on the menu and loved them! Great salad with house dressing and hearts of palm, chunky potato soup, then either steak, risotto, or crab cakes. Great portions, wonderful flavor. The other three family members ordered... More

The restaurant is in a nice setting not far from campus. The food was delicious, and the staff was very sensitive to my allergy needs. I liked the spinach salad, and I had a very good fish dish. The flan was very good, and they had a nice wine selection. The bar area is really loud, but tables away from... More

Great appetizer of tuna tartar! But, main course of scallops was only ok - not great - and maybe a little off. Never had a visit from waiter asking "how are things." So, for the price, not great. Restaurant was better when visited a couple years ago.

These crab cakes are as full of crab meat as the best ones on the Eastern shore of Maryland. Order a salad if you're really hungry or other sides. Take the waiter's suggestions for desserts which are rich and delicious.

Every dish at Veritas looks and tastes delicious. I've never had a bad dining experience there. If you are craving seafood, you must try the sea bass. The owner is a super nice guy - who also won the Food Network's nationwide competition for America's Favorite Food Truck.
