tasty

Excellent service should have been guaranteed and it was, up to a point. Somehow, one of the meals didn’t arrive on schedule, our Mongolian Beef had been overlooked. To start, we had the shrimp tempura combo which was decent. The mains were the aforementioned beef plus chicken with sesame... read more

I have noticed this place for some time and finally got around to trying it out. It is a lovely place. Considering it's rather small, it has a beautiful ambience, and very well prepared food. My dining companion and I shared an appetizer of tempura, which was so delightful! My companion had their California roll and a Vegas Roll. I... More

My husband loves sushi and has been searching for his "spot" for some time now. We have lived in several areas and always find good sushi. We should have known better when we first walked in and it was really warm inside. I am usually cold and carry a sweater with me but we were actually sweating shortly after seated.... More

Used to be Japanese with a great lunch deal, super deals on fresh sushi etc ... Then partnered with somebody who added Chinese in the mix ... Staff barely could communicate ... Ask for pepper and salt ... Ha .... Food got cheaper and worse ... Never again?..

I arrived at 5:30pm on a Sunday, no crowd, so the kitchen was not backlogged. GOOD The staff is pleasant. The prices are low. The location near the Steam Train... that's it BAD I ordered edamame that arrived over cooked - no snap to the pods. The favor had been cooked out of this veggie. I then ordered the Egg... More

It's called Tokai Japanese Hibachi and Sushi. We expected to go in and sit around a hibachi grill and watch them cook our food. I guess the hibachi grill is in the back. They have Pepsi instead of Coke. Service was average. Soup tasted horrible. The rest of the food was average. The restaurant seems worn out and dingy. It... More

I stopped in for a quick late lunch/early dinner and was the only person in the place, yet the service was still subpar at best. I had the tiger roll because it said the fish was cooked and seeing as how empty the place was and the fact you couldn't see the fish (the sushi bar window is blacked out)... More

To start with horrible server, salad was drenched and they said they make them ahead so they are all that way. We started eating our sushi and found bone after bone in it. The server argued that it was in a fish that was not even in our roll!! No sushi knowledge at all.

Finally stopped in this spot after driving past it a million times. Pleasantly surprised with a huge garden salad with nice ginger dressing, great salmon sushi, tiger roll was fabulous, enjoyed long horn roll, and New Orleans roll was good too. Staff friendly. Did not try any hibachi foods but def will return for sushi in the future. Pleased to... More

Good quality sushi, fast service. Miso soup is good. Not too busy, so it has nice quite atmosphere. Convenient location just of FM1431 (Whitestone).
