The Spicy Tuna Appetizer at Stories is one of the best appetizers we have ever had anywhere. It's like an incredible deconstructed ahi tuna sushi roll with tempura flakes and it just really pops. Not too filling and just the right amount of spice. The first night we ate here (yes we went back!) we split one, the next time,... More

My girlfriend and I enjoyed a wonder dinner. She has food allergies and the chef did a wonderful job of preparing her a very flavorful meal.

Upscale dinning we elegant ambiance. We ordered our wine and the Chef sent out a heavenly amuse-bouche; great start to an excellent meal. Our server was knowledgeable about the wine list and food offerings. The Seabass was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Finished with a exceptionable desert and left happy.

We were alone for Thanksgiving this year, our family and friends had other commitments, so we picked Stories for our feast (Most other restaurants in Bastrop County were closed). The staff that we interacted with were all very cordial and helpful. The atmosphere was noisy. The menu was quite limited, with fewer than 10 entrees, and, surprisingly, it had no... More

Good wine list with plenty to choose from. Server was attentive and very sweet. Food was great. Steaks were perfectly seasoned. Brussels sprouts had just the right amount of crispness. Atmosphere was quiet but not stuffy. Good for a business dinner.

We had dinner here on a Saturday night, preferring to stay on site at the Hyatt Lost Pines resort, rather than going into Austin. Good decision. Natasha was our waitress and she took care of us like we were the only people in the place. The drinks, appetizers, entrees, and coffee were all excellent, but her service really took it... More

It is certainly nice to have an option like this at a resort where you aren't going to leave. Service was good, menu was fairly limited. The facilities (actual restaurant) were somewhat average. In all fairness to food review, my son and I had the same cut of steak. The grade of meat was excellent. However, it seemed to be... More

The food is excellent, but too expensive even for fine dining. Piney Creek Chop House 15 minutes away in Bastrop. Is a much better option.

We always wanted to try this restaurant at the resort. My first impression was that the interior looked run down, from the carpeting to the chairs. The chairs are so heavy, they are difficult to get in and out of, especially for older people. The offer of purchasing expensive bottled water at the beginning of a meal always turns me... More

Each person who we talked to at the restaurant told us "happy 4th anniversary!" We were treated to a complimentary dessert, and our food was amazing. We started with the potato croquettes, then both had steaks with the Yukon mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts. The dessert we chose was the Mexican churro cheesecake. Loved every second of our experience at... More
