I've been to Los Lupes a couple of times. It's a solid place to get some decent Tex-Mex in north Dallas/Carrolton. If you are a native of north Texas, you know that the bar for Mexican food is pretty high in this part of the world. Average or below average Mexican restaurants don't generally last too long because the competition... More

Been going to this restaurant for years and it is a good place for a moderate price TexMex. I am fond of their Chile Rellenos. Decent bottomless tostada chips and salsa too. We generally find the service good although can be a little slow at peak times. The lunch buffet is very good too.

The food is just average, They tend to be very heavy with the chili powder in their dishes. Service is usually very slow.

This is our first choice when we get a Tex Mex craving. This ain't no fancy, high fa'luten, over priced destination. This is serious, real fix'ens, at an honest price and served on time, courteously. It is our long time after a day working in the yard, coming back to town late, or just don't want to cook go to... More

Had to wait. My husband's food was cold by the time mine arrived. Overall appearance dirty. Had to sanitize my hands as I entered felt dirty.... More

This is the cheapest place to eat some typical Tex-Mex food, a.k.a. Mexican??? It's pretty much on the low quality side, but edible stuff. If your budget is low, and you have a big family or group, go there. The tortillas are chewey, the rice is just the dry Mexican type. The frozen margaritas are really good, though. Borracho beans... Went there for the buffet lunch. The restaurant was very busy at 1:30 pm. I don't know why.If these people are regulars, they have never had good Tex/Mex food. Food buffet food was cold, the refried beans were thin and a off gray color. No steam coming off the trays of food. Maybe the food that is served ala carte... More

The fish platter includes fish, shrimp, and tex-mex, all of which is prepared and presented well. Cheap buffet is good for a quick meal. Excellent chips and salsa. Musicians during dinner.

The best thing this restaurant offers is it's cheap lunch buffet. The food is low-grade Tex Mex at low prices. The staff is generally friendly.
