We go every summer when were at the lake. Some stuff seems a little pricey but it's so fun and a great atmosphere! Can't wait to head back this year.

I thought the "food and bait" was a funny gimmick, but nope, Eddie said you can pull up 24 hours a day and honk and he or his wife will get you bait. I assume they live out back. If you want to keep busy during your entire dining experience this place is for you. The floors, walls and ceiling... More

Something you wouldn't expect from a bait store. Generally Mexican food but has hamburgers and chicken fried steak type American dishes. Prices are high for Mexican food and it is not any better than lower priced restaurants. Décor is unusual with every kind of decoration hanging all over the walls and ceiling. Antiques and candy in what passes for a... More

Delightfully unexpected! Eddie, the owner, greeted us when we entered and entertained us while we waited for dinner, explaining many of his collectables. The food was freshly prepared, very tasty and there was lots of it. We definitely plan on returning to sample more menu items.

For those that want a quick dinner or something generic, please do not go here. This is the type of place that's just too interesting to be "normal". There are thousands of trinkets and artifacts on the walls and ceiling in this place. I've gone here multiple times and the owner has been incredibly friendly every time. I've even learned... More

The owner/server was the most friendly, out-going person. He was full of stories and tidbits of information about the area. The food we had was very good and flavorful but we told him that we liked things spicy. The place was full of interesting things that people had brought in or sent to him afterwards. We stayed at a time-share... More

The food I cannot even remember but all I remember was that we waited three hours for our food. we haven't gone back since (4 years). It was really trashy Looking inside and there was a bunch of stray cats in the backyard. It wasn't clean or put together. I will not go back nor will my friends that I... More

Our family visited Frank's Bait & Taco at the end of our one week stay in the area. I couldn't believe how different our experience was from the reviews so I had to write a review. Atmosphere: Frank's Bait is full of personality. The owner took a genuine interest in us and seemed to do the same with others who... More

The tourist season is almost over so the crowd was light. Franks is closed now Sunday-Tuesday. The humble outside only hides the world class adventure that awaits. This awesome two person operation prepares everything from scratch! The wait for food seemed short since we were welcomed and entertained by Eddie (owner) and our kiss wetter busy playing an insane game... More

Don't go here unless you really like home-made, authentic Mexican food. Don't go here if you expect a white, linen table cloth and napkin with sterling silver place settings. Don't go here if you are easily distracted by interesting mementos from all over the world on all the walls and ceiling too. Don't go here if you don't like to... More
