Don't know why this place gets recommended. Slow service, luke-warm food, noisy. We waited over 30 minutes to get our food and it was not hot at all. If you want diner food, head down the road a ways to Smartzville and go to the...Smartz Cafe. It's not great either but it's better than this. Better yet go to Wildflour in Sattler!More
Fantastic food. Very generous potions. It appears to be a town staple and the folks there were so kind. It was a great place to go to before my brother in laws wedding in New Braunfels Texas
Wasn't worth the wait. Got seated quickly, waited 10 minutes for a waitress. Ordered then it took 45 minutes to get the food. We had breakfast for lunch so, it wasn't something that took a while to cook. Wife said her breakfast tacos were OK,...nothing special. My eggs weren't fully cooked and the bacon was over cooked. Sweet tea wasn't sweet Waitress never came back to the table, food was delivered by the kitchen staff (busboy) with the bill. Been coming to Canyon lake area for over 50 years and will continue coming to the lake, just not stopping at this place again.More
Service was friendly! Accurate and prompt! The food was yummy! Chicken tenders were delicious! The BLT on croissant was a big hit! Pork chop was very good and the catfish was really good!
We were told that this was a good restaurant to go for breakfast. The restaurant is only open for breakfast & lunch. We ordered eggs & pancake and a ham & cheese omelette. The food was delicious the only possible negative is that when you...order a pancake it is literally the size of a plate and about a quarter inch thick. So if you order a pancake with your meal you had better be hungry. Also the waitress’s are very attentive.More

I arrived at 7:30 AM, right when they open. The service staff were very friendly and the breakfast (I had an omelet) was great with large "hungy man" portions. All this at a reasonable price!
Food is great & staff are so nice. Def recommend. Weekdays are the best time to go during peak season (summer). There were LONG waits, but worth it. They offer to go orders... may try that next time.
My wife and I and 4 year old granddaughter ate here on a weds am with moderate amount of customers. 50 min to get food. It was very good and server was excellent.
We arrived for a late breakfast on a Monday morning. We had about a 5 min wait and then were seated at a nice, clean booth. The wait staff was very friendly and our orders were correct. My husband had scrambled eggs with cheese, hash...browns, one HUGE pancake and hot chocolate. I had the french toast, which had cinnamon and powdered sugar & sausage, and OJ. All of it was very good. We're here for a few days so I can see us going back. Give this place a try. You definitely won't leave hungry!More
This place has probably the best meringue pie in Texas. The coconut, the lemon and the chocolate are perfect.Homemade crust, exact ratio of filling to meringue. Go eat pie at Granny D’s so you can know what all pie places aspire to have. YUM.
Nice cozy place with very friendly staff, because they are always busy food quality can be a little low , prices are reasonable I would definitely give it a second chance.
I have had breakfast at this restaurant in the past and it is excellent. This visit I had chicken fried steak. Portions are large. Great comfort food.
