We did not eat here but came daily to get ice and all the things you forget when camping. Very close to Sagewood Camp Ground and I was glad. Lots of cute nick snacks and they even had an extension cord when I forgot mine.

Had lunch here on a warm day in November so we were able to grab a table outside. Terrific burger! Lunch with a view! Yes, there are a few pesky flies but it’s part of being in nature. Large selection of t-shirts and souvenirs. Great...stop!More

Nice place, nice people......but that’s it......flies everywhere no pest control here....absolutely the worst cheeseburger that after one bite I didn’t eat....small pattie burnt to a crisp, separate bag with lettuce and 2 tomato slices the size of a quarter....just a warning...get a meal somewhere else.

Great burgers and really good onion rings. Staff is friendly too. Also enjoyed ice cream. We have had steak sandwich which was good too. Nice toasted buns make the difference

My colleagues had a burger and I had a delicious grilled cheese sandwich. Very fair prices and good service.

I had very low expectations for a food concession in a state park, but i was pleasantly surprised by the Trading Post in Palo Duro Canyon. The burger was good quality and properly cooked, and they have a fairly well equipped "fixings" bar so you...can build your burger the way you want. I personally went traditional lettuce, tomato, pickles (lots), onions, mustard, ketchup and mayo. But there were many more options to choose from. Fries were hot and tasty and an ice cream cone for desert. Sure beat the cold sandwich I was planning to make for lunch in the trailer. I stopped back in the morning on my way out for a breakfast sandwich which was also quite good. Now, again, this is just a food concession in the park, and I certainly wouldn't come to the park just for the food. But if you are at Palo Duro Canyon State Park, the Trading Post offers up surprisingly good eats and a reasonable price.More

Stopped by after a hike and wanted to rehydrate. The ice cream is excellent. Nice gift shop but so many of the things are made in China. Wish they had Texas made stuff. Oh and the geocache is there and in good shape.

This is the "trading post" in the canyon--it is food and supplies only. There is no show. The burger may have been $8 with the fries and a couple of bucks for a drink. It is a great burger for a low price. This is far... More
