the food here was average, but fairly priced. The staff were kind and the selection was alright. Parking sufficient with a local crowd, home town feel to it.

I keep trying different menu items. I haven't found anything yet, that makes me like this place. I know it is a Brownwood icon, so I keep trying. I just don't like anything they make. Sorry, but I tried my best.

For starters, it was a blistering hot day and I was ready for a COLD beer. NO beer or any other adult beverage. Food was not bad, but certainly was not "inspired". This is the sort of restaurant that's living off of the fact that they have been there forever. Service was friendly enough.

We were on a long road trip passing through Brownwood and saw a lot of cars parked out front so we pulled in the parking lot. Good choice. Chips good. The table salsa was tasty and spicy. Both of us ordered cheese enchiladas and they were the real deal. Autentico! The dining room a little rough around the edges but... More

Food was nice but I have eaten better. Staff are friendly and polite and it's not badly priced. Doesn't look fantastic inside but appears clean.

This place was recommended by a local so I went with high expectations. 1st its BYOB, second the made me put a packet of lemon juice into my tasteless ice tea instead of having lemon wedges, 3rd the chips were stale, 4th the food was bland and honestly looked and tasted like they had gone down the street to the... It just wasn't the same. Guess it's true; there is no going back. The food was adequate but not memorable.

We ordered the special & the food was good. The main complaint is they always lay the tacos on top of your hot food & they are usually soggy by the time they get to the table. Waitresses were good to keep up with our tea!

Heard of the place and never had chance to go. Finally a group of us went and wasn't impressed. We had a group of 8 and our waiter was overwhelmed. The food was greasy and not all that good. The chips were good and salsa great. Was told to try again so marked it average

I have never had anything but great food here and I have been coming for over 40 years! The fried tomatoes are what I crave but always get some good enchilada plate or nachos to go with. chips are homemade unlike most other mex. rest. and the chicken fried steak is great and huge. love the murals in the second...
