Poodle skirts, Bobby socks, saddle Oxfords and great food. This little place is at the Brenham Municipal Airport of all place which is several miles from downtown Brenham. It's like stepping back to the 60's. I was surprised at how many people were there on Thursday at lunch. Hot dogs were great but canned sodas means no refills. Worth the... More

We had a fairytale afternoon at the Southern Flyer Diner! We will surely be back! We loved our sweet waitress who was dressed in an adorable poodle skirt. Our food was delicious and came in a timely manner. Our grandparents had as much fun as the kids!!! Absolutely Worth the drive from Houston!!!

Excellent Food, fast and friendly service, with a 1950's flair. What's not to like? Best Burgers in town! big and juicy, fresh made. Delicious!! no trip to Brenham is complete without a stop at the Airport Cafe the "Southern Flyer". Best Milk Shakes too!

Pleasantly surprised. Everything was good both service and the burgers. Was about 60 miles roundtrip but worth the drive

A popular place for locals, despite being somewhat off-the-beaten path. Our family with small kids visited for lunch on Sunday and it was pretty crowded. It was also raining which rendered much of the outdoor patio unusable, further limiting the seating - but that's not their fault. Fun, family-friendly atmosphere and the waitresses really do wear poodle skirts! Food arrived... More

Located at Brenham Airport. The ambiance is great. When we ate there there were at least ten local and state troopers eating there which says a lot. Hamburgers and malts are great.

This diner out by the airport is a 50's themed diner. The waitress are all in costume with their poodles skirts. The food also continues the old fashioned theme with the menu. The onions for an appetizer were very good. My wife got the chicken finger and FF and I had the chicken fried steak and FF. Both were very... More

This place is a must when you are visiting Brennan; waiters are dressed like in the 50's. Surf and turf is good and abundant. For kids chicken tenders are awesome. Really good hot dogs.

Ambiance aside (50's diner), had fried catfish -- big portions (6 strips), really good. The coleslaw is like potato salad with cabbage -- wonderful!! Hubby had grilled cheese sandwich as he is vegetarian (only so-so). Onion rings are VERY good!! If you've never been, need to go for the nostalgia. I've heard burgers are really good, but don't know first... More
