This spot is so amazing I could hardly eat it, I mean wow. Just wow. And you might say it's horrible, but those of you say that it's okay.

Walked in about noon, not too busy, two ladies working in there. One behind the counter one seating guests? Both starred at us without a high, welcome or get the hell out. Finally, one asked if we had a reservation as she set a place...at a table. We said no as we approached the table. The host said “this isn’t for you..” the other with the ring in her nose continued with the blank bovine stair… Ended up eating at Blacksmith Grill. They were welcoming, good food.More
I am a disabled combat veteran that suffers from severe PTSD from 7 combat deployments. I have had several surgeries due to injuries in Iraq. Needless to say I don't go out much. It was a beautiful Sunday on october 1st, 2022 around 4pm. My...wife (Barb) asked me if I wanted to drive to Boerne, which is an hour drive from where we kive to go to 259 Brantleys Bistro. I was happy to say yes since I was feeling pretty good! We arrived and I walked up to the outside bar and wanted to order a beer. I asked the bartender named Billie, S. I asked her if she had a Pecan beer? That I have ordered there in the past. She gave me some attitude that they did not have that beer. I looked at the menu and ordered one that interested me. Correct response from her should have been: "Sorry sir, we currently don't have that beer is there something else I can interest you in?" She should of said that with a smile on her face. Not the sower look I recieved. I went and sat down and started drinking my beer. My wife grabbed the menus. After we decided what we wanted my wife went and ordered a pretzel appetizer, sliders and my axis burger. A few minutes went by and my wife went to the same bartender and asked her if the appetizer was ready. received. Said, " Everthing comes out at once" my wife was confused by her answer and said, "I ordered the apetizer to come out before our food. Hence the definition of appetizer." Billie, S. told her un a very rude sarcastic way "Have a good day and turned her back to my wife. The answer should have been, "Sorry ma'am, because of the outdoor setting we bring the appetizers out with the food." Then Bonnie the manager brought us our food and we asked what the bartenders name was. She informed us Billie S and asked what happened? We told her and she replied, "Sorry for that." She went over to the bar and spoke to the bartender that was visiting with 4 people sitting at the bar, when they all turned around to look at us it became obvious they had been discussing our complaint. Then we overheard Billie S talking smack about us. We left soon after without finishing our food or watching the band. Correct way to address that Bonnie isbto pull the employee to the side and discussed it with her. Never in front of other customers. I would like Chef Brantley to write my wife and I a personal apology for the behavior of his employees. I would also like to know how he retrained his employees to provide better customer service. You have all ruined my evening because I was triggered and very upset how we were treated. My email is mikewestpersonaltraining@gmail.com. I expect a response with in the next 24 hours or I will publish this on all social media outlets, which will be fun since I am a highly decorated Green Beret. I am sure our communities will love to hear how you treated me and my wife. Very disappointed, Mike West Retired ArmyMore
Read about this place several years ago and finally made it to Boerne to check it out. The Salami chips/jalapeno cream cheese all was fun and deliciuos. Loved the Muffaleta and lamb sliders . Would love to come back for Sunday Brunch!
This was a great meal-we tried things we had never had! Service was great, atmosphere good! A little on pricey side Go try it.
My wife, daughter, & I stopped in for lunch during a driving rainstorm. Our shrimp poor boy sandwich & fries were great complimented by a very savory craft beer. I like a restaurant that's not freezing and so noisy that you can't carry on a...conversation. We had a nice lunch and the price was reasonable for a tourist area.More
Horrible Service and overpriced food, awful attitude from waitstaff especially from the manager! . i would never recomended this restaurant to anybody
Great little place in Boerne! We stopped for lunch while traveling through town. Glad we did. The Mediterranean Chicken Salad on a Croissant was very good. Loved the citrus flavor. Homemade chips very fresh with a nice crunch! The Axis Burger appeared to be slightly...undercooked for medium, but we were told that the appearance is normal for that type of meat. The burger flavor was rather bland. The bun was nicely toasted and served with provolone cheese. Service was very good - nice young college boy. Tables are spaced apart and servers wear masks, etc. Definitely recommend visiting Brantley's Bistro!More
We revisited a Boerne institution after not going to the Restaurant in a few years, it did not disappoint. Food is prepared perfectly and selection of beer satisfied those of us that ordered. It was nice to see Bonnie, the owner, so glad the restaurant...survived quarantine. We will be back!More
Appalling customer service. Tried to follow the guidelines for social distancing by not having more than 6 at a table. We had our two families coming in two different cars make two different reservations (a 5 person reservation for one family and a 2 person...reservation for the other). When the manager found out we knew each other and wanted our groups be in the same room 6 feet apart (which is how they service groups that don’t know each other) she said she couldn’t take us. So don’t come here if you know someone else sitting six feet away in this restaurant. They’ll either cancel your reservation or force you to come in at two different times. I tried to tell her that we would be coming separately from our different households and just wanted to be in the same restaurant at the same time six feet apart, but they would not let us make a reservation since we knew each other. She added to the quality of customer service by interrupting me repeatedly. Given the price of the food and the quality of the customer service, it’s not worth it to go here.More
Had the occasion to stop in to 'a new place'. Fantastic salads. The physical bar was a awesome piece of furniture. Wall of 'Boerne' is in alley for picture taking. A nice beer garden in the back too.
Meals were fresh and delicious. Service was prompt and attentive. Enjoyable dining experience. Evening menu selections seemed limited, but everyone was pleased with their choice. A little pricier than I would typically recommend for families but well worth the money. In the back, it has...a cute outdoor garden area for seating, which would be wonderful in warm weather. I think parking could be tricky during daytime hours, but I would not let that deter me. Check the hours before you try to go.More
Fun place. Great atmosphere in the cool downtown Boerne. We really enjoyed our unique brunch. Very friendly staff and excellent food with a creative menu for sure.
We've eaten at Brantley's several times, early Friday evenings before concerts, always without reservations. We've made meals from sharing starters and from sharing entrees. The food is well-prepared, pr4sented and delicious. Service has always bee top-notch.
Excellent food, fresh ingredients, superior customer service, & great atmosphere. Meals are reasonably priced.
