We very much enjoyed a recent dinner with six family members. The restaurant is refined, but relaxed, with great food. Appetizers were very good, especially the escargot and lobster bisque. For main course the schnitzel was great, as were the pork chops, and the hamburger, which is rated as one of the best in Texas. Wine list and beer selection... More

Good food, but this was seriously the worst and slowest service ever! We stopped in here for a quick lunch, and this meal was anything but quick. The waiter was initially slow to take our order. Then after we had finished eating, he totally forgot about us. Another waitress cleared our plates and she actually told him we were waiting... More

Both meals were outstanding. For breakfast we had the lox an the hill country pecan pancakes. For dinner we had the German pancake appetizer and then we each had the three sausage plate. Dinner was on the patio and was very pleasant. Great service.

German style cuisine. You can eat inside or outside on a beautiful day. Great view of the river and watching the Ducks.

second time to visit, first time was so-so, food was sparse and taste wasn't incredible while price was high; this visit (because we wanted something German) was Wunderbar! The Jaegerschnitzel was great (for the States), the fruit kolache (meat kolaches are not a favorite of ours) was very tasty and the chocolate sampler was incredible. Prices seem to be high... More

We visited Boerne house hunting and stopped for breakfast. Walter was our waiter and they were busy. We had such great service, he was knowledgeable of the menu and even suggested great items. Super great experience and food.

Went for a weekday lunch based on a recommendation of family. Easy to find. Very pleasant atmosphere especially outside on the patio. Nice view of the park and river. Menu offers a full range of lunch options. Had good clam chowder. Not the best ever but good with lots of clams. The Reuben and Monte Cristo were excellent. Highly recommended.... More
