We had a great lunch at the Redbud. The special was turkey, coleslaw, sliced tomatoes and swiss, melted on marbled rye, with tomato soup. Delicious! The baked goods looked amazing, and they also make Espresso drinks. Plenty of room to eat inside or out on the patio. The downside was the wait. You stand in line to order and then... More

Have always enjoyed the food at this place when passing through Blanco. Wife had quiche and salad while I had a bowl of chili on a frigid day, both of which were excellent tasting. Chili was not as thick as most with lots of fresh ingredients. Everything here except maybe some bread is made right here The also have an... More

Stopped on a whim & the Visitor Centre Girl pointed to the Redbud ! Great choice , had a really good lunch and my notes read "Cheap & Tasty" ! The beers were a bit pricey , I thought but as I was driving I stuck to the Root Beer but the decor with the rainfall charts etc gave the... More

Last week, returning to Austin from a few nights in the Hill Country, the timing worked out to stop in Blanco for a late lunch. The Red Bud Cafe was easy to find along the route to 290 and parking wasn't crowded. It was past peak lunch and drizzly, and though still medium crowded inside and out (there's covered seating... The Red Bud on the Court House square in Blanco had some construction going on out front, but getting inside was easy - just watch your step. We waited in a short line to order then picked a table and posted our order number on our chosen table so our server could find us. The wait was about 20 minutes... More

This was the first time we had tried dinner here, and although the menu was the same as lunch, we were quite satisfied. There was a fun band, and the bar in the back has all the Real Ale beers on tap. We enjoyed a burger, fish tacos, and Greek salad, all generous portions and tasty.

So glad we stopped here on our way through to Fredericksburg. This is clearly a local hotspot- as it filled up on the Friday evening. We enjoyed a hot turkey ruben and a pear/blue cheese salad with grilled chicken while a local guitarist picked out some old country.

We always go to the Redbud for lunch when we are in Blanco. Their sandwiches are always consistently good. Homemade breads, soups and salads round out the menu.

The food was good and fresh but I rated it only a 3 because we waited almost 10 minutes to order and over 40 minutes for two salads.

Thank Janice G
