Stopped in today- the wait was 40 minutes to get our food but it was absolutely worth it. I got chicken salad sandwich with lentil and sausage soup. Hubby got roast beef dip sandwich. Everything was great! Highly recommend the lavender lemonade :)

While having a college friend reunion in the Hill Country, we decided to stay in Blanco and this was the place we decided to have our Friday Night Dinner, we are very glad we did. We made a reservation for the 12 of us, they had the table ready and away we went. We ordered our drinks separately, there is... More

I am not sure what the buzz is about this place. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich, chips, and fresh squeezed lemonade. I also ordered two cookies to go. The sandwich was bland and TOO much pepper. I ordered it because it mentioned all these ingredients I never tasted, because the pepper overpowered the sandwich. The bread wasn't great, just... More

Stopped there on way to Fredericksburg Friday and the place was packed at 2:00 in the afternoon. Large menu of burgers, sandwiches, salads and other items. Had the Blanco burger and was one of the best burgers I ever had. Fresh made angus patty on a homemade jalapeno bun with your choice of one side as well. Great tasting, fresh... More

I did not want my Axis burger to ever end. I'm not a fan of venison usually but, this was delicious. Topped with avocado and a lovely spicy mayo. Also. Lavender Lemonade. Yummmm.

I love the old fashioned, city of Blanco. There is a city square with Town Hall in the center. Shops line the four sides across the street. The place to have a fine lunch with tourists and locals alike, is the Redbud Cafe. An array of big sandwiches, soups, salads, drinks and desserts. Walk up to the counter, pick your... More

The sandwiches are awesome and the beer cold. Good selection of craft beer available on tap and bottles. Music is local talent and usually very good. It is getting harder to squeeze into the Redbud because of its increased popularity, but time it right and you'll have a good time.

Passed up Johnson City to eat in Blanco and glad we did. Split a Western "French Dip" sandwich; liked the addition of the peppers, they really added a good flavor. On Sunday afternoon the place had a line to the door with locals, tourists and bikers. The have an impressive array of local tap beers and they will provide a... More

Stopped here on the way back from Marble Falls because the Bluebonnet Cafe was on too long of a wait. This place is cute and there were lots of people hanging out, so figured it would be good. It was okay, nothing spectacular or memorable. I had the French Dip, my Dad had the turkey on rye. Both were workman-like.... More
