A business associate and I visited this restaurant - neither of us had been there before. You walk in the door - and have to order your meat from the list on the blackboard. It was a bit confusing - and made more so since they were out of some items like pulled pork! The place is authentic - the... More

This is probably the best BBQ in the area. Everything that we've had was good. I don't care for the potato salad that much though. The prices are pretty high for a BBQ. But it is good.

We had never been to Schoepf's & asked what to order/suggestions. But the woman at front was very abrupt & rude. The brisket & sausage was out of this world, but service left something to be desired.

Great selection of entrees, sides and desserts. You can basically mix and match to have whatever you want. I found the desserts especially scrumptious. This is close to the interstate for those traveling. They have a wonderful summer concert series on Thursday nights.

We were hoping for "real Texas BarBQue". Didn't have that smokey flavor. Didn't have much flavor at all actually. We had brisket and pulled pork, mac salad and coleslaw. None of it very good. Would not go back.

While in Texas recently we stopped in to try the BBQ. Now I'm more used to a thick strong BBQ here in the Northwest but I was disappointed with the one they use. Tasted very vinegary. Not pleasant to my taste buds. BUT, when you first enter you get in line and you tell them the cuts of meat you... More

It's a Texas BBQ place with great decor. The food is good with a vinegar based sauce. The food is extremely expensive for what you get. We got the small family meal and with four ice teas, no extras, it was $50+. Dickey's or Rudy's has better food for half the price, which is sad because I'd rather eat at... More

Visited with family again a few days ago, always have a pleasant experience. Best bbq in the central Texas area hands down. The chicken & scalloped buttered potatoes are my favorite. Great Cole slaw. Excellent home made pies and desserts. Great iced tea. They also have live concerts and events.

We stopped by this gem on the advice of a local. We were treated to outstanding pit style barbeque. The gentleman that served out cuts of meat looked like a real Texas cowboy!!!! Everything from the tender meats to the tasty sides were fantastic. Great ambience as well. Definitely worth a stop!!
