Food is mediocre. Service is terrible. I've tried many times to give this another shot. I'm always left feeling the same way. The patio is nice and offers a decent view of the river. Aside from that it's over priced and boring.

Maybe the best cheeseburger I have ever had! The house made potato chips were also very good. My wife had the steak and avocado salad and enjoyed it a lot. My son's fried porkchops were cut-with-a-fork tender and delicious. It was too hot in July to eat out on the patio, but the inside was nice and the historic vibe... More

The I-35 construction is never ending, The Gin was recommended to us by a friend and we have now found Belton is a good place to pull off to take a break and unwind from all of the traffic. Enjoy an ice cold beer or ice tea while relaxing on the back porch while watching the kids wade in the... More

The Gin is just that, an old Co-op Cotton Gin that farmers from all over Bell County would bring their cotton harvest to have it processed for sale. It was a very popular location for many years, until improved transportation, interstates and harvest technology made most gins obsolete. The Gin was started as a not fine, but upscale dining spot... I love the laid back yet elegant feel of the Gin. It's great for casual and business dining. The menu selection is also very good. Not an overwhelming amount of items on the menu but a broad spectrum of tastes.

My husband and I are here on evening while we were in town. We sat in the balcony and watched as people were playing in the beautiful river. The view was fantastic and so was the food.

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch outside, in a covered seating area. Service was prompt and frequent. Food had a great presentation and equally great taste. Enjoyed the recycled building and industrial decor. Enjoy!

We were on the fence about where to go for a nice anniversary dinner. The Gin has a GF menu as well as a good regular menu so we took a chance. Our waitress was Elyse and she was fabulous - attentive but discreet. I had the Nolan Creek chicken with asparagus and it was really good. My husband had... More

Heard about The Gin from a friend so today we decided to check it out. The atmosphere is great, you can dine inside or out on the patio. It's a pretty day so we decided on the patio. Nolan Creek runs along side and was running pretty good after all the rain lately. The Gin is a little pricey but... More
