I heard good things...liars. The BBQ is the worst I've ever had. Chicken dry...you have to have skills to make a drumstick dry. Brisket had zero flavor. I kept putting more sauce and salt. Ribs were ok. Baked potato was completely overdone. Powder like inside. Back to Miller's Smokehouse I go.

Love the food. The only complaint is the serving sizes are never consistent with their sides especially the fries.

This place makes you feel like your family!! Large portions, reasonable prices, good drinks, and daily creative specials. For a BBQ joint it has so much more than your traditional Texas BBQ plates. You guys are putting Morgan's Point on the map!!

We used to live in Morgans Point, so we often picked up food from Backyard to go. We probably did this nearly every week. The food is always good - down home, nothing fancy, but always tasty, no matter what we ordered. The restaurant expanded and remodeled over a year ago. It is a very Texas atmosphere and extremely casual,... More

IF you can find this place, you will have accomplished something. It is a couple miles off the nearest main thoroughfare, in a rather nondescript old building with a stone facade. Inside the ambiance is pure Aggie Texican, with painted concrete floors, wooden picnic tables, and corrugated tin on the walls. The music was yeehaw all the way, and a... More

Our family came in last night to eat about 8pm. The food is always good here. Never had anything bad. The hostess on the other hand acted like we were an inconvenience to her. Not friendly at al. Was it because it was close to 9 dwhen they close. Don't know

We had ribs, chicken, pulled pork, and brisket with super good slaw and tater tots that I had to stop myself from filling up on. The meat was very tender and nicely smoked, and the portions are more than generous. The prices are very low in comparison to other BBQ joints in the area. The atmosphere is roadhouse rustic, but... The Bubba Tator and Red neck burrito is awesome and everything else is good also. Occasionally the service is lacking.

We went there while visiting family in the area. Had the bbq chicken, the beef brisket & the specialty bbq potato. The potato was the size of the football & also delicious! It could not be finished- but made a great late night snack!!!

Thank Kristy J
