Great view! Good food. Would def recommend for lunch or a dinner out. We were there for lunch, but it appears that they provide live entertainment as well. My only complaint would be the metal chairs!

I was able to spend eight days in Texas last June. The highlight of the Temple portion of my visit was spending a lunch on the deck of "The Dead Fish Grill". It was beautiful looking at the view of the lake and the food...was very good. The service was excellent and the restaurant is modern and clean. Just a great place to eat and relax.More

We live in San Antonio and our friends live in Tyler. Belton is half way for both of us. We met our friends here and we so happy with the place that it's now our official meeting place. The food was great, the view wonderful,...and the staff exceptional! They didn't mind that we sat there 4 hours visiting. We started inside and after we were done eating we moved to the covered patio. It was just like sitting on someone's back porch visiting. Can't wait to return next month!!!More

Had a hard time finding the place at night. There is much not much lighting in the parking lot. We couldn’t tell if it was open or not since the entrance was dark as it was 6:30. The sign should be lit up to tel...people where to turn into. The food was rather pricey. $20 for shrimp and catfish combo dinner. The server, Tiffany, was nice and friendly.More

Very dissatisfied with the service and meal. Ordered rib plate and the ribs came out cold -- not just not hot but actually cold. The mashed potatoes were barely warm. Sent the meal back and when it came back I received only half the amount...of meat that was originally on the plate. The plating upon the return was messy. There was certainly no care in a pleasing presentation. My dining partner was finished with their meal by the time my meal came back out. Our server provided very little attention after the entree was returned. We saw her only one time afterwards to bring the check. A manager stopped by the table to check on things and I mentioned my concerns. She offered a free dessert but being diabetic this is not an option I can use. Very disappointing experience.More

Was very pleased with the food and service provided by the Dead Fish Grill. Because of the on-going pandemic, we have mostly avoided all restaurants, but I wanted to take my wife out for her birthday. I was looking for a place with a patio...and had catfish on their menu. Dead Fish Grill had both with the added benefit of a great view overlooking Lake Belton. Food was well prepared and promptly served. Also to be noted, staff members followed all current health protocols and made this an excellent outing.More

We were greeted and sat warmly. Our server, Sam, was not only knowledgeable about the restaurant, but could fill us in on the local everything. My nephew enjoyed the chicken and waffles and the fried shrimp platter was very good. The view of the lake...was beautiful.More

Wife and I were out tooling around and decided to stop here. This is not our first time to eat at this establishment. This time was great as usual. My wife enjoyed the Shark Attack drink, while I stuck with a simpler Crown and coke....Both were made well and the server was very attentive. We both tried the family bucket. We ordered the catfish and gator nuggets. Both were tasty and filling. It was a lot of food for two people. Sat outside and enjoyed the lake while watching the boats. It was definitely a relaxing afternoon.More

This was our second time to eat at this beautiful restaurant. First time was last year, before shutdown. Had a delightful meal (Salmon salad for me, burger for one, fish for other two.) Went back last month. We were seated promptly and server was there...to take drink orders. Fantastic Bloody Mary!! Even though the menu was limited because of the shutdown, there was still something for everyone. Again, I ordered the salmon salad. My husband got the 1/2 bucket catfish. We each had leftovers to bring home. Our friends had a burger and a sandwich. All was served as it should be and was delicious! Service was great. We are going back tomorrow and can hardly wait for more great food, the fantastic view and the gracious servers.More
