It's Memorial Day and so we're out for an authentic bbq to celebrate! We found this small place and asked people who were coming out and they said the food was good. We tried their mutton, it's our first time to try it. And we're surprised that how tasty and delicious it was! We'll be back!

Good Stuff! Not much on ambiance but if you're after Texas BBQ, just about any setting will do! Good sliced beef and sausage and great sauce. Sides are all great! Easy access on and off hey. 71!

They have just remodeled. More space & new bathrooms. Billy's barbeque is great. Chicken, ribs, brisket, lambs. Love their texas pinto beans & coleslaw.

Had chopped beef, pinto beans and potato salad. They were out of Cole slaw. Beans nothing special. Potato salad is commercial. Expanding the building. More room, better lit, new bathroom. Fresh bread. Good iced tea.

Others BBQ places have come & gone from Bastrop but Billy's continues to be #1 for us & our family N friends that come to visit from out of town. When I'm head out to visit that always request that I bring Billy's with me. Small, hometown style place with lots of flavor!

Not a whole lot of atmosphere, maybe 12 tables too. A small hole in the wall BBQ joint. But let me tell you they have some great BBQ. I stopped in one day on a full stomach just because I don't live close and I'm always looking for a new bbq joint. I purchased a small amount brisket and that's... More

I've eaten hundreds of BBQ meals in Texas and my opinion is that Billy's Pit BBQ in Bastrop is just average. All the sides are out of a store-bought tub and my wife's chicken was very dry. Billy's house-made beef sausage is great and the pork ribs were fall-off-the bone with good flavor. Their sauce was quite good too. This... More

Billy's is small and not much of a sit-down place unless you're traveling through. But the quality and prices of their tasty selections are wonderful. Buy by the plate, sandwich, or by the pound. Main selections are ribs, brisket, sausage, chicken, chopped beef, and mutton with fixin's like potato salad, beans, slaw, and cobblers for dessert. Billy's is a hidden... More
