The shrimp was bad in that it gave my wife and I food poisoning. It was the only meal we shared for two days, so there is no doubt as to the source of our sickness.

This place has real Mexican food, not the washed out gruel that somehow passes for Mexican food these days. I don’t understand their low position in Trip Advisor reviews....but then Buc-ee’s is #1 so there’s clearly something wrong somewhere!! For a vegetarian option, try the...Monterrey enchiladas with black beans. And watch the red hot sauce, it’s HOT!More
Nice sit down Mexican food place. They also serve burgers and they have a kids menu. The enchiladas were really good and they have a couple of vegetarian options. I liked the Monterrey. Skip the guacamole, something was off with that. The queso is a...better choice, and it’s much less common where I usually eat. Reasonable prices.More
Had dinner there last night. We always sit near the bar, not at noisy. The service and food keep bringing us back
Oh my the Carne Asada is very tender and delicious. My hubby and I shared a cocktel de camaron which was very good and the best part was the shrimp are deveined.
This place is nice but very dark. And the selections on the menu are excellent, varied, and delicious. The waiters were very attentive until it came to pay our bill. After we waited for over 10 minutes, I finally stood up and waited quite a...while even then until a lady asked if we needed something. She finally got our bill so we could pay and leave.More
The food is very good and affordably priced. The staff is friendly and keep close attention to your needs. They also have other styles of food than Mexican. I had the grilled shrimp on a bed of Spanish rice with the steamed vegetable medley. Delicious!
We were here as part of a group of 12. They sat us a tables that were too small for our group and when our food came it was piled very close. Had to remove chips and salsa. Food came our at 2 different times...and we had to ask for our fajita sides. When all was said and done, we realized that the tip was added to our bills. If my husband looked closely we would have double tipped. Food was very good though. I would not recommend this place for large groups but great for families.More
Great food, great service, and very fair prices - fair, not cheap, for the high quality and large portions. Tried Morelia Mexican based on a recommendation of a client who lives in Bastrop. Tried the Chicken Parilla, which is grilled over a real mesquite fire....Fantastic flavor. Fresh real vegetables are offered as a side. The vegetables are fresh, not Sysco frozen junk. Salsa has real flavor and some kick to it, no Yankee tomato soup. This is real Tex Mex, highly recommend!More
We normally go to another Mexican restaurant but decided to try Morelia's out. The food was very good and their chips and salsa were even better. Good food, good service, great chips and salsa. We will definitely come eat here more often.
