Bandera is a neat cowboy town. We had a late lunch. Service was okay, correct and the food was okay! I had cod and hubby had a burger……just okay!

We ate here tonight and had a fantastic experience. Our waitress was celebrating her 20th birthday and did a fantastic job. We had 3 different entrees, all were first class. Particularly the pecan crusted chicken breast. We had some cold beer on tap and ended...with a desert. We were there for over an hour and enjoyed the time. As we left, we were thanked by everyone we went by. We’ll definitely be back.More
Thank you for taking the time to give us such a wonderful review. Please know that we appreciate it and will pass it on to our staff. We hope to see you again soon.!
Food is very bad (don’t even dare to order fish). We’ve got charged for a plate we did not eat and both server and owner refused to correct the check. Very unpleasant experience.
happened to visit on Trivia Thurs. That was fun and the place was packed, and we were seated upstairs. and consequentially our service was very slow. Starters: Sea Hogs & chips with salsa and queso was great. Main course: Rib eye med-rare was messed up,...sent back once to get done. turned out bad. Chicken Parmesan was also mediocre, no great flavor. So didn't conclude well....More
We were a group of 8. Some of us received cold food after a long wait. I wonder if it was sitting on a counter waiting to be picked up. The ones who ordered large salads said they were just “ok” and they missed the...salad bar. The chicken parmigiana had too much crust to taste the chicken. Our waitress was wonderful!More
We went in late and waitress was super sweet . Had pecan chicken was so good, husband had cordon blue he loved it! If in town will return!
Our family dined here on recommendation from a local outfitter. The onion rings as an appetizer were light and delicious! The fresh ahi tuna plate was great as well as the Akaushi Beef Hamburger- which is the best burger I’ve ever eaten. Highly recommend!
Waitress-excellent. Food-excellent. Atmosphere-excellent. Bacon marmalade burger and fries-fantastic. Good location.
I ordered the sirloin because I was told TJ’s steaks were good. Boy was I disappointed. Even with the steak knife I could barely cut it much less eat it. The waitress saw this and said she would take it back because it was a...bad cut. After 10 mins the same plate/steak was brought back cold and she said the manager said they are all like that. I was unable to eat the steak and the green beans had no flavor. I had to pay $2 more to get cheese and sour cream for the baked potato. When the waitress brought the check she told us she tried to get us a discount but the manager said no. Needless to say, I will not be going back there again! Very bad meal.More
Real homemade food! Wow this place was a great stop on our way home after a day of hiking in Lost Maples. Everything was delicious. The motz sticks that are cut and hand breaded were amazing and I don’t usually like marinara sauce but theirs...was really good! My chicken tenders were just as great with the house made ranch. My husband went for the cordon blue which takes 25-30 mins but was worth the wait. All in all we were very happy with this dining experience! The staff was also great, friendly, and on point!More
Lunch today on their outside deck was great. Service was very good and our server (Monica) checked on us frequently. We both had the Ahi Tuna (my wife the salad and me the entre) The tuna was a good medium rare and tasty. My baked...potato was served cold and I think it was a "leftover" from last night's dinner service. It was replace with an order of some of the best home made onion rings I have had. We will be back, probably on Saturday for their prime rib special. BObKMore
I always trust TripAdvisor reviews, read reviews about this restaurant and they were all true. Good food. Good service. Good time. Will be back again.
I have been a resident of Bandera County for 33 years. I own 2 guest houses and offer restaurant suggestions to my guests. Sadly, I will have to remove TJ's from that list. My friend and I eat lunch there regularly, about every 3 weeks....We've always enjoyed the food and the service...until yesterday. When we received our receipt the bartender, Kathy, had overcharged our drinks. She charged us for doubles when we ordered single bar vodka. When we brought it to her attention she went and looked in the computer, turned and told us that we had ordered Tito's which was a bold faced lie. I am not one to make a scene. I paid the bill but I will never go back there again and I will be sure that my guests are aware. If there is one thing God hates it is unjust balances. It's really sad that anyone would do this just for an extra dollar. My friend and I are very good tippers, even with the knowledge of being cheated we still tipped a full 20%.More
Tried TJs for the first time& we’ll definitely be back. Friday night fish fry (all you can eat) was delish & ribeye dinner a killer. Roasted Brussels sprouts were yummy.Great atmosphere & diverse menu—and such friendly folks. A wonderful experience.
Thank ypu!
This restaurant offers a wide variety of menu options and the food is excellent. You can get the typical ‘Texas’ dishes and healthy meal options. I had the tuna steak and it was grilled to perfection. They are now offering a key lime martini that...is to die for! Definitely a great restaurant option in Bandera.More
