Arrived for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Standing room only for a while, reflecting the popularity of the food. Once seated, our order was taken and food arrived in a reasonable amount of time given the short-handed staff. My daughter thought the fish sandwich the best she has ever eaten. Hamburgers were very good also.

Great inexpensive meal. Everything was delicious and plentiful. The desserts are incredible, we got ours to go, and so glad we did. The service was friendly and informative.

I ordered the club sandwich which was good except that the toast had completely cooled by the time I got it. Still a good sandwich. Didn't come with a side. I also tried their fried okra, it was also ok. Fries, ok. I won't be dreaming of going back but it wasn't horrible and if there weren't other options I... More

Davy Crockett Stables recommended this restaurant to us and we're glad they did. The portion sizes are huge, the food is delicious, and the staff is extra friendly.

On our way back home, our first time at Black Bear Café. Gale, the owner suggested their fish sandwich. It was fried grouper and it was delicious. Tom ordered a cheeseburger, not just any cheeseburger...fresh ground beef. They make desserts daily and we didn't pass up their chocolate cake and carried home a piece of their Hummingbird cake.

We went to the Black Bear cafe twice in one week. We dined in once and ordered to go the second. Both times the food was excellent. The servers are great. But, it is the variety of homemade cakes that makes the restaurant so special.

There aren't too many places where you can get fried bologna. Yummy! They did run out of coleslaw and a few desserts, but that's what happens on some days. Quick service. Good food.

Great food at such a reasonable price! Staff was sweet and food really hit the spot. You have to try their homemade pies!

We stopped here after we visited the cavern and the food was great. My children got salads (fried chicken & chef) and they looked amazing. I got the potato soup which was a huge bowl that I couldn't even eat half of. The food was priced right and it's worth stopping in.

My husband and I were driving by and decided to stop in after noticing all the cars in the parking lot. We were glad we did as the food is excellent and freshly prepared. We would have loved to try some of the desserts but didn't have room. Be sure to stop in if you are in the area.
