Came here for happy hour and dinner, but was told that we needed coupons for the room to get the happy hour advertised price. Disappointed. Then ordered the chicken broccoli pasta and it came out with no chicken. Disappointed. We ordered a kids meal and...asked for fresh fruit, but upon delivery all they had was canned mandarin’s. Disappointed. All of this I had it up to just a mediocre experience and when we expressed our concerns we were greeted with an, I’m sorry and the bill. We wish we would have left the resort for dinner.More

They honestly try, don't order anything other than soda. The bartender and staff had to look up a cocktail for me, but hey they tried and it wasn't bad for his first time! Thanks! They have great happy hour specials, I appreciate that after all...day with the kids and watching sunday football. Food wasn't amazing but kids eat free!!! Always a plus for dinner. Breakfast was very good, lots of options for all ages and sizes.More

Drank here one night while staying at Wilderness. Very disappointed in the drink strength, Had I not seen the weak pour, I would have assumed there was no alcohol in the $10 drink. If you ARE going to drink here, get the souvenir cup so...that you can get the remainder of the drinks cheaper, may make it worth it. The only thing we ate was a dessert that was supposed to be large and full of brownie. What we got was 5 peoples worth of plane vanilla soft serve with some brownie pieces stuck in on the sides. If they layered it, it would have been better.More

After spending $40+ at the Snak Shack for lunch, we decided to ride the shuttle over to The Hidden Trail for dinner. (At least it would be a nice sit down experience for the $$). The atmosphere is very nice. Nicely decorated. Nice quaint feel...to it. We were seated immediately (there were only a few families there). Lizabeth was our waitress. We sat there for 20 minutes waiting for her to come take our drink order. We didn't mind, we are on vacation.. whatever. The hostess comes and asks if we've seen our waitress yet (no). So she goes and finds her. She comes and apologizes to the other tables on our way to take our drink order (red flag). We get the Sidewinders as an appetizer. They were amazing. Thick swirly cut potatoes and mexican queso dip. It takes forever to get our food. In the meantime, we get to listen to the other families complain about the service. Our waitress (Lizabeth) was very nice but slow. It was almost like she was helping cook the food. She'd be gone for a while back in the kitchen and then come out flustered trying to catch up with drinks etc on the tables. I saw our hostess helping wait tables at one point as well. The food was good. Kids eat free with adult entree (1 adult= 1 kid meal) . But it was not a great experience. They need to hire help/retrain the current help.More

Visited while on spring break after long, fun filled day at the indoor water park that is on site. Needless to say we were starving!!! Things started to go wrong when I realized that there was only one waiter for the entire restaurant and the...lady that seats families was recruited to take drink orders. Over an hour passed and we still had no appetizers. Half way thru the second hour, my husband gave up and went to the room...105 minutes after we were seated, our food arrived...other families were upset and leaving them as well. They were there before we were seated. Food was fair but not worth the wait...so your best bet is to eat elsewhere...and not room service bc it comes from this restaurant as well. We were told that if we ordered pizza to our room, the wait would be well over an hour for this very reason. ☹️More

Once again we returned to Wilderness at the Smokies for my son's Spring Break, so of course we headed back to the Hidden Trail. The menu is limited to a smaller selection, but the quality of the food reflects a greater attention to detail. We...started with the Sidewinder fries with queso which were awesome. I had the steak tacos, which are made like street tacos. Absolutely delicious. My wife had the steakburger sliders with cheese, also delicious. My son, as usual, had chicken tenders and macaroni and cheese, which he certainly enjoyed. Our server kept our glasses full and saw to our needs. A great experience.More

You might think this is going to be a mediocre touristy restaurant at Wilderness at the Smokies but you would be wrong. The food is delicious and extremely high quality for a surprisingly reasonable price. We have been coming here twice a year for the...last 5 years and the day we arrive we always have dinner here. Made from scratch potato chips are delicious. The steak bruschetta was excellent. Kids chicken tenders with the crazy good thick cut spiral fries is two meals in itself. Hubs had the pulled pork sliders and loved them. As always I had the steak tacos and they were excellent. We have never had a bad meal here.More

We were staying at this resort a few days and really didn't want to have to drive out for dinner. We ordered the Mediterranean nachos. The pulled pork on them was tasty. Portion size was good, and average priced. Menu for dinner is pretty limited;...a tapas menu; with a few sandwiches and a couple of salads. The place was clean. Our server wasn't overly attentive, and kept playing with her hair and putting her hands on her face...which grosses me out. I really wanted to ask her to wash her hands, but I didn't see that going well. Anyway, there weren't many people in there on a week night; maybe 3 tables. It was worth it to stay in and not have to drive. Next time I would try some of the other restaurants at the resort. Resort is great, by the way!More

We enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Staff was very friendly. Yogurt, granola, fruit, dry and wet cereals, taters, eggs, biscuits, grits, gravy, sausage, bacon, french toast, pancakes and other tasty items.

No, it's buffet only at breakfast. They were not serving lunch while we were there, as it was off season. Dinner had a menu, but it was very limited. The food was decent, but not a lot of variety. We just didn't want to... More
