Not impressed by the food by all three of us. I had grilled cheese which was different and good. My companions had breakfast foods and could do better at home.

Food was wonderful! Biggest piece of country ham I’ve ever seen! Service was good and fast. My only thing was that there is a LOT of steps and a big hill to parking so it’s hard for the elderly or handicap. My dad walks with...a walker due to hip/knee replacements and it was quite a struggle for him. I would suggest a ramp to get into restaurant.More

She sure don't look like much but she sure can dance. Pulling in to the eatery , you may hear, " Dueling Banjos " and feel like you are in the movie Deliverance. It is as country as you possibly can get. After you get...past the rough sewn lumber and the authentic relics, you will confront some of the best cooking in these parts. The ghosts of a thousand grandma's must saturate every bite of this diamond in the rough. This place deserves a try. Very seldom does fate combine the elements to create a symphony of delicacy. This place does. I recommend it highly!More

This is a gem hidden in the Tennessee hills. You won’t find a better breakfast or a more legitimate rustic location. This is our go to place when out of town company arrives. The service is reliably good, and the menu options unparalleled in the...Middle Tennessee area. Their parking lot is rutted and washed out, and some of the ruts are starting to look like the Grand Canyon. Bring your 4x4 truck if you can! Reservations in advance are a must have! Wait times without are excessive.More

We planned a couples weekend getaway and this was the perfect end to the trip. The restaurant is off the beaten trail, but truly worth the trip. I had the BAT Benedict and they were AMAZING...!!! For only $12, they easily could charge more..and they...come two eggs with two sides...we did Gouda Grits and Hash Browns Casserole. Service was fast and with a friendly smile. Next time we’re in the area we’ll stop for sure.More

This little restaurant is off the beaten path in Readyville, Tn. and is only open Friday-Sunday for breakfast or brunch. We had reservations for a 9:00 breakfast, and were seated by the window- our request. Since this restaurant is at an old mill, I was...hoping for a creek view by the window. But no view. In fact the window was so dirty, I could barely see the trees nestled outside. The inside of the restaurant is cute, though. Our breakfast was good. I had eggs, biscuits, and gravy. The gravy and eggs were good. But the biscuits reminded me of Bisquick dropped biscuits. (Not very flavorful like buttermilk biscuits I usually get at Cracker Barell- etc.) The service was slow. But when I saw how those waitresses had to go up and down steps from the kitchen, I understood why it took so long. It was fun to go somewhere new for breakfast and the menu has lots of choices.More

My family and I went to this restaurant on a Saturday without a reservation. I recommend calling ahead before traveling to this beautiful remote area. Make a reservation. Because we have driven so far, we decided to wait for a table. It took one hour...because Saturday is very busy for them. Because this building is historical, it is not handicapped friendly. You have to climb stairs to access the building and dining room. Once seated, It took a while for our wait person to come and take our order. Our food came in maybe twenty minutes. The food was just OK. My husband’s country ham was very dry. Mom’s food was not hot. My sandwich was dry. And the waitress didn’t seem to care when we shared our concerns. It was a much better restaurant when it was Goodness Gracious in Murfreesboro. The only way I will return is if I’m invited by someone.More

We visited with our young son, and were quite happy with the friendly service and the great food. You can happily order anything from breakfast to lunch at any time. I had a Reuben, which was made with “real” corned beef, not heated up slices...of crappy deli meat, and was excellent. My wife enjoyed her breakfast dish. We will be coming back, especially with our relatives as you can’t find such great cooking in too many places around M’boro!More

This place is a real treat to visit and we love going. I recommend a reservation to ensure the drive out is not a waste of time. The food is always wonderful no matter what you choose off their expansive menu. Desserts are awesome. You...May have to wait if your whole party isn’t there as they seat when all have arrived. You will also have great talking time because their service is a bit slow but worth the wait when you get your order. Enjoy the grounds too with the beautiful old mill. Pictures are a must with the old truck :)More
