We had the worst hamburgers and onion rings that we have ever been served anywhere. Their potato salad was pretty good. Otherwise, terrible tasting food! We would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Service was good. We will never go back to this place again.

It usually is a very busy diner. We had not been there in a while. We wanted pulled pork sandwich so that is why we stopped in. We did ask if it was the same pulled pork that they had had before from cades cove....More

We arrived around 8pm on a Tuesday night. It was crowded but we were seated in about 10 minutes. Food was hot, fresh and delivered quickly. As recommended here we ordered the banana split and were not disappointed! We would definitely visit again!

The server was great. Milkshakes were outstanding. Had grilled cheese and fries. All hot and fresh. Would make this a must stop for lunch or dinner.

This is a cute diner, easy to get to, and the prices are reasonable (I think my burger was around $10 with $1 extra for onion rings). I had a mushroom burger, and my son had a jalapeño burger. We both thought our burgers were...More

There were four of us that chose Mel's for a late lunch. When we were being seated the hostess took us clear back to a table next to the rear door away from everything. When we requested something a little better we got a booth...More

Taking my parents up for their 54th Anniversary this week. Since they were married in 1962 I was thinking this might be a place to take them for lunch. My father is in a wheelchair do you think they could accommodate someone in a wheelchair?

Hi Kenny, I think they could. If I remember right, the diner is a little narrow and all booths. But, very little step up into the place and the food was good diner food. The wait staff was very nice and I'd bet they will... More
