This was a sweet little country restaurant. The food was great but there is a lot of waste. You can't take anything with you. It was a bit pricy as well. Nice experience but, I wouldn't go back.

This was a disappointing visit for us. We were looking forward to the food and hospitality. We were informed the wait would be 45 minutes which was okay even it was late and we had a long day. Everything was fine until we sat down....The server went by us several times without any acknowledgement to us. We waited for 15 more minutes. I finally ask the server, how much longer it would be. His response was I’m serving these people their food first and walked off. I completely understand it was busy and likely short-staffed but the customer service was terrible. We ended up leaving after that interaction. Unfortunately this is going to have to be an experience we share for a vacation in Tennessee.More

Everything was fantastic! Puts Old Mill and Apple Barn to shame! Peach and strawberry butter with biscuits was amazing! Every part of the meal was great! Plan to take it slow and enjoy! All you can eat for just $22, with dessert!

Food are excellent. Fried chicken is really tasty and crispy. The country fried steak is so good, the gravy is creamy. My husband love the banana pudding.

The food is good, not what it used to be but good. The chicken is awesome but they got rid of the creamed corn which was the best I loved that stuff and cause of that we just don't go much anymore. The strawberry butter...is really good. But stay away from the meatloaf it is the worst I've ever had. But over all minus a few things it's good. The fact that it's family style and they bring it to your table is awesome but I wish they would bring back the creamed corn and also the chicken and dumplins are the best if the get rid of this then I guess I'll go eat somewhere else. There family friendly and nice and it don't take them long to get the food out seeing everything there bringing. The chicken, dumplins, ham, fried steak and gravy are good..More

Went with my husband and 5 year old daughter. Other customers were very friendly, but staff acted as if we were an inconvenience and were rude. Heard great things about this restaurant but not how we experienced it. Walked in to be seated and there...was no host at the host stand. After waiting well over 15 minutes to be seated we thought maybe it was a different spot we go to to be seated. We asked an employee where to go and she told us back to the host station. Her and another employee sat and just watched us waiting and did not offer to help but continued to just stare at us as if we offended them for being there. My husband and I felt it best to find a more welcoming restaurant as they were making us very uncomfortable by the way they were acting toward us. Really hate this was our experience. Had been looking forward to trying this place out.More

Maybe we had too high of expectations walking in. The service was great. Our waitress was very sweet. The dinner was very disappointing. For the price we paid, the food was all out of a can or box. Would not recommend.

It’s been many years since we were here, probably over 10. Liked it better when they first opened. Today we visited for dinner. There was only about 8 cars in the parking lot so I would say it was not busy. We checked in and...was told it would be 5-10 minutes,15 minutes later we were still waiting. Another group came in and I asked how long were you told your wait was and he said 15-20. A few minutes later they started calling names and we went back to the dinning area. It looked as if they just had a party and were still cleaning up. Food all over the floor and carts with dishes. I still don’t know why there was a wait. Any way our server was the best part of the setting. Very pleasant. The food was just ok. We had turkey which was like the turkey in the supermarket deli, meat loaf, and fried chicken which was good. The dressing that came with the turkey was very much to salty. We had broccoli salad which was ok, sweet corn, and Mac n cheeseMore

I think our expectations for Mama's Farmhouse were perhaps too high. The decor is nice and the idea is fun. There are pictures of Mama throughout the restaurant as well as her family tree and even her marriage license. Apparently the restaurant is still run...by the family. Even though it was not busy when we went (mid-afternoon on a Sunday) we had to wait a bit to be seated. We were the only people seated in our section of the restaurant, which was a little odd. The server apparently forgot our salad, which we never received, though it is supposed to be included in the meal. The two meats we had were turkey and stuffing and fried chicken. The chicken was pretty good; the turkey was fine. The biscuits are good but don't seem like they would rise to award-winning level, as advertised. There were supposed to be three dessert options, but we were only offered two--they were, oddly enough, out of chocolate chip cookies. There are some area restaurants I would go back to, and others I would try, before going to this one again.More

Cheap quality. However, bacon, scrambled eggs, & biscuits were ok. Free hotel breakfast quality. Nothing super tasty. All you can eat, family style. $14.99. We would not come back & would not recommend. Could have just gone to McDonald's really.

We went on a Friday evening and were seated right away. We were greeted by our waiter right away and brought drinks, salad, biscuits and strawberry butter. The biscuits were excellent as was the strawberry butter. The apple cider vinaigrette dressing was amazing! The portions...were adequate, I just think that we are so used to huge portions here in America. Our waiter Leif was attentive and friendly and we never had to wait for any part of the meal. We were very happy with our experience and the Banana Pudding was sooo good.More

Good was not quality as we had expected. We had to wait an hour for a table so you would expect good food and service. Not so. The service was worse than our food. I would never recommend this place. It was by far the...worst restaurant that we went to all week in the Smokies. Never again.More

Got a table for breakfast at 10:45 am after 45 minute wait. Need to take phone numbers and setup text for people waiting. Not enough room for many people to wait. Most people left without waiting. After getting seated they served us after another wait....All u can eat. Bogus!! Asked for more gravy, biscuits, and bacon. 7 minutes later another waitress came by cleared our table and brought the check. As we were leaving we were brought biscuits and eggs. Should have went to Shoney's. Unusual for a Johnson Family Restaurant to be this bad.More
