This place looks deceiving. You walk in and you know there are restaurant food items on the menu, but the appearance is that of an ice cream or dessert parlor.
You walk in to see a window of edible cookie dough balls.
My hopes weren’t...very high to have a decent dinner here.
I Was Wrong. My food was Excellent and Chef worthy.
Cant judge a book by its cover I guess. This was the biggest surprise restaurant in Gatlinburg for meMore
Please please please try them out, the husband and wife team that run this restaurant are awesome, and they are creating some of the most wonderful food me and my family have ever eaten. I had the Big Mac Daddy burger (I think that’s the...name) and I was sold after the first bite. The food is amazing and the family that runs it deserve all praise for what they are doing. GIVE EM A TRY PLEASE!!!More
This was a good option off the main strip. It was almost empty so we were able to order right away. Very creative sandwiches and the cheese fries were super yummy! Lots of yummy cookie dough bites and milkshakes so save room! Prices on par...with similar places. I like supporting local business!More
We accidentally stumbled upon this place while looking for a place to eat lunch. The name of the restaurant confused us and we weren't quite sure what kind of food to expect. We weren't expecting quality or great tasting but we were all pleasantly surprised...at how good it was. One of the top burgers I have ever had! I got the pimento cheese burger.More
We ate here twice during out spring break 2021 visit to Pigeon Forge. The burgers, fried chicken sandwich (fried fresh), and melts were amazing!!! I'm pretty picky and this was food I'd go a town or two out of my way to eat at. Not...at all like the tourist targeted restaurants everywhere else.
It was four of us - my husband ordered a chicken sandwich each time, teenagers each ordered burgers twice (Boursin Burger and Mac Daddy which had mac and cheese on it), and I tried the CheeseSteak Melt and the Italy Melt. OMG. We all shared and loved everything. The owners, husband and wife, obviously care about taste and quality. The VARIETY of cheeses, sauces, vegies and other toppings for the food options were impressive. Best aioli's I've had in a very long time. Bread was excellent. The fries were well seasoned, and my son enjoyed the sweet potato fries with caramel dipping sauce. We didn't care for the ketsup but who cares?! They were out of pepper jack cheese curds or I would have tried those.
The edible cookie dough balls were fun and tasty but this place really excels at it's meal food choices in my opinion.
I see that some bad reviews talk about slow service. We talked to the proprietors - its a husband and wife that run it. They are working alone right now because with the extension of unemployment benefits through the fall, their help quit and they are unable to hire reliable help. So its only them and it takes time to make good food. We never had to wait to order, just waited about 1/2 hour on a second visit because a large family had ordered just before us. The other restaurants we tried (ones on the main drag) all had waits much longer than that just to get seated. And the food we tried at all other places was mediocre at best. Cookie Dough Monster is tucked way off the main drag and is in a strip mall - don't let that dissuade you. Its good food, unassuming location, and a name that makes one think of a sweet shop are all reasons why I think this is the BEST KEPT FOOD SECRET in Pigeon Forge.More
We were told 20-25 min wait, ended up being 1 hour and 15 mins. No apology, just “can’t you see we are busy.” Meanwhile she is study scooping out cookie dough while we are waiting for food. Looked like call in orders were taking priority...over those sitting and waiting. She did say that only two people were working, but I rather people be honest and frank upfront, then taking your money upfront and holding you hostage. The kids wanted ice cream and I though perhaps she would at least offer a free dessert, but nothing. We ended up going across the street to get ice cream, as I was not giving these jokers another penny of my money. Even other customers saw how long we were waiting and telling us we should get a free dinner. Ridiculous. Never again. But then, I say never again to Smokey mountains in general because it appears you can’t do anything without a very long wait.More
