Birthday get together

Celebrated birthday with friends from out of town. Service was very good, filet is one of the best around. Signature soup and salad with meal, always a good meal!

Great food, great service, great prices. What could be better? My favorites include their homemade French onion soup and the ribeye steak. The restaurant is not right on the highway, but there is a smallish sign showing you where to turn. Definitely worth finding!

Sunday before Christmas 5:00. I ordered Surf and Turf with my steak medium. Waitress said "don't touch the plate it is very hot." I picked the plate up with the tepid well done steak, baked potato wouldn't melt the butter. My daughter got a filet, my mother got chicken tenders. 80.00 with tip. Merry Christmas! I it ho,ho, hoed.

My family used to eat at the Fox every weekend. But is seems like in the last 3 years or so the place has really went down hill. Portions have gotten smaller while prices have increased. Quality isn't what it once was either. I miss the old Fox 'n Hounds.

While visiting relatives in Tennessee we had a meal at this place. I found it interesting that you had to ring a doorbell to gain entrance to the restaurant. Once we were let in, the place had the atmosphere of a tavern rather than a restaurant. But we assumed this was common for this area of the state. We were... More

It's a very nice environment and a very friendly staff..but ruined a very nice cut of meat being heavy handed with the seasoning, I enjoy the taste of meat...not so much the salty seasoning...I will try it again and try a different menu item.

We went for a quick lunch and indeed had it. The food it really great: they serve some nice burgers. The service was nice and quick as well. No complaints here - I'd go again!

I live in Pigeon Forge and periodically, I drive to Newport TN to eat at the Fox & Hound. I'm never afraid to take someone to the Fox and Hound because I know that the service and food is going to be great. It is an old established restaurant and a favorite of many locals. Food was ok but nothing special, but for lunch it was expensive at 75.00! We were charged the dinner price since it was after 2:30 pm. The shimp was heavily battered and the clams were very rubbery and hard to eat.

Been here before and had a great experience. The prime rib sandwich is awesome. Very large and well prepared. The onion rings were also excellent. My wife's french dip and fries was perfect. Reasonably priced. A little off the beaten path but well worth it.
