What an incredible experience ! The filet was perfect. Ribeye done to perfection, with a wonderful smokey flavor. All the side dishes were fresh and exceptional. The atmosphere is warm and friendly in a elegant and wonderfully restored historic home. The round table next to the fireplace was perfect for family conversation. The staff went above and beyond what you... More

We had a party of 10. There were three wait staff attending our needs. Steaks were not cooked as ordered and served to the wrong guests. One of our group didn't get served until five to eight minutes after the rest of us. The waiter commented that the steak must have gotten lost. Two members of our party had fish... More

My sincerest apologies and regrets for your less than stellar dining experience. I can assure you that I take each and every Trip Advisor review very seriously. I have researched the matter and called your host, Mr. White personally and offered my heartfelt response. I have gathered the details from the three wait staff involved, as well as the kitchen... We walked past The Standard and conversation with staff helped us decide to dine there the next evening. This historic building is full of pleasant surprises...including the amazing cuisine. We enjoyed everything on the plate plus the ambiance. And the staff were the best part, sharing some of the history, making certain we were well taken care of, and giving... More

Under rated here! We had a great meal! Awesome atmosphere... Wesley was fantastic... We love the small room feeling and this place definitely needs to be higher on the list. Very memorable experience...

I had a dinner meeting here with 16 people and it is amazing how well they did! Great service, excellent food; I had bites of the mac & cheese, shrimp & grits; fabulous and I had the petite filet; it was fantastic. Everything was just terrific, food, service and environment, the trifecta!

Loved the historic atmosphere of this place. Not far from Broadway. We had a group of 8 and everyone enjoyed their meal. Most had steak. Service was fantastic!

Funny i read a review that said exactly what I was thinking. The bone in rib eye and all the steaks for that matter are rather bland and too thin to keep the juices in. When a rib eye does not bleed some juice you know it is only going to be fair. Which is what it was. The Cesar... More

I visited with a group of ten adults. The food was delicious. Most of the party chose steaks and everyone was pleased. We ordered a variety of sides and all were very good. My favorites were the Mac and cheese and caramelized corn. The salad was almost too pretty to eat. This was a very nice evening.

Entering the Standard Club feels like stepping into the 19th century to a home that has been lovingly restored. Our family group of 5 was ushered into a private dining room with lavish fireplace and decor. Although the appetizer looked terrific, the fried green tomatoes were excellent but the calimari was not up to snuff. Everyone said their filets were fantastic... More

Such a disappointment - beautiful historic location, excellent staff but it is a restaurant not a museum and the food is middle of the road at best, certainly not fine dinning and most definitely NOT a Steakhouse as they purport to be. Offering several cuts of beef, but serving a bone-in rib eye that is too thin, has no char... More
